    Power off did not help.
Reinstallation of Software did not help.
I even found a patch for intermittent network reliability for the hp c7280 at hp.com and it did not resolve the frequent disconnects.
My printer is connected to a wireless router which connects it to the home network. Could it be the router is causing the printer disconnect?

Its the problem of weak router signals. both your printer and pc are fine the router is to be blamed for this. if you connect printer directly to the system through usb you wont face this dissconnecting problem.
please do take time to rate the solution accordingly.

It also happens if there is a problem in the adaptor of the printer also called the power cord of the printer.if that is faulty it will give power to the printer but will give problems in the printing and scanning functions.just replace the power wire and check out.

Just Noticed the Router Comment. Yes you need to Disconnect the Router Also. If this does not work you will need a New Router. This will work.

Try to power off the printer for about 5 minutes than after that power it back, and if still the same problem you can also uninstall/reinstall the printer software from your computer....

I have an HP Photosmart C7200 All In One Series. On my previous HP printer, I was able to copy documents and shrink the images. Is this possible on my new Photosmart C7200?

yes it is ,, Once you install the drivers propperly then all the features will be in the toolbar. you can axcessthis tool bar by pressing the copy button on the printer, then you can reduce the image size. Another method is by using the scanner tool bar, aviable in the all programs menu(START / ALL PROGRAMS) once you start the tool bar, simply click copy and folloy the onscreen instructions then set it according to your desire.

Our HP Photosmart C7200 All in ONe serie keeps flashing Problem 0xc19a0035 can you tell me what that means please?

The error relates to ink system failure you might not be able to get that printer repaired, if it is under warranty the vendor should replace you with a new one if it is out of warranty dispose the printer and buy a new one rather than spending time and money trying to get that printer repaired.

Scanner Failure

Scanner failure means the scanner is not making enough light to see the home position. It happens when the scanner lamp ages or is covered with dust. Cycle power is just power off and on again, and see if it goes away.

Normal 0 Driver could be corrupt.
Disconnect the printer or at least be sure it is turned off. I'd do both and reinstall the CD software program that came with the printer. When the software program asks you to connect the printer to the USB port, do so and it should again work properly.
Hope this helps. Bud

Computer isnt reading Hp Photosmart C7200 series disc

oh I hate when that happens but its a easy fix, chances are you have a virus scanner on or a firewall on that HP products love to hate and never work correctly when they are on.

http://h20180.www2.hp.com/apps/Lookup?h_lang=en&h_cc=us&cc=us&h_page=hpcom&h_client=S-S-R295-1&h_pagetype=s-002&h_query=Hp+Photosmart+C7200+&submit.x=11&submit.y=7

click on that to download the correct software for your system as well just incase it a Drive issue.

please uninstall the software then reinstall the software without the firewall or antivirus activated. here is what you need to do.

Start--->Run--->type: msconfig---->in the general go to diagnostic startup---->accept, close and reboot

Install the software it should install now.

Then reboot

then goto

Start--->Run--->msconfig---->in the general options to to normal startup--->accept, close and reboot

Prints extra blank page for every one page of printed material

Ok, I too have HP Photosmart 7280 and it was spit'g out a blank page after each print page.
I went into the Control Panel/Printers - Right click on the HP Photosmart 7200 series icon and choose delete. Don't worry...just delete it.
Right above (Vista) click on Add a Printer - it's going to ask you if you want to add a local printer which is connected via USB connection or if you are set up wireless then choose Network
It will find your printer click on the printer hit next - then this is the most important step
It will ask you to find the manufacturer it shows Hewlett-Packard and underneath it shows HP - Do not click on HP - you'll have the same problem with that driver - choose Hewlett-Packard and find this driver HP Photosmart C7200 series Version 61.71.244.0 [3/23/07]
Hopefully they are all digitally signed with this information.
Click on that driver and click next - then click on replace the current driver and click next.
Print a test page and problem should be solved. Hope it helped!
