Hi, this is a common problem and the problem is to do with the led lights, they only last a certain amount of time before they stop working and the only way to get them working again is to get the leds replaced now paying someone to do this would cost more than it would to buy a new one, but doing it yourself can be a nightmare is its really fiddly to even get the old ones out.
to be honest you would be better off leaving it as you could do more harm than good by messing about with it.
let me know if you need further assistance ok
plz rate this solution as i have a whole page of unrated posts, thanks
I'm having the same problem. My 7 & 8 year olds boys got given one each and the wings broke when they were putting them together. wowwee.com sells them for about 15euros. I'm not paying that much, I'm sure the toys didn't cost that much! I think they're just an obsolete toy now. Have you had any luck?
Did the charger come with the helicopters? It sounds like the packs are being overcharged or charged at too high of a current. Lipo packs are more sensitive to charging and discharging than NiCD and NiMH packs. I got my first helicopter last year so I don't have as much experience with them as cars and trucks, but I will help if I can. I have a Venom Beacon that came RTF with a Lipo pack and charger and I have not had any problems. I would also suggest a Lipo sack to put the packs in while charging. It would keep them from catching fire if they would happen to explode. Good luck.
