Machine Does not draw water into the boiler

My gaggia evolution turns on. When I hit the coffee button the pump turns on, but the hoses are not drawing water into the boiler so, no coffee, no steam. Suggestions?

    Hi

    Gaggia Evolution Espresso Machine

I haven't used this machine for some months and when I was trying it I got no flow from the Brewing Head. The pump was activating, the heater working, the steamer was creating steam and I tried going through the 'airlock' procedure after cleaning the shower disc and holder. I did not remove the filterholder gasket.

Water will flow from the steamer pipe no problem. There is no flow at all from the brewing head.

I did notice that the flow had been reducing the last time I used it - Nov.

Is this a case of descaling? ..and if so can you descale when there is no flow through the brew head? Any advice welcomed.

    Cheers

    Buster

I have had this same problem - it is due to an airlock in the boiler/tubes. Simple solution is to use a syringe or similar and gently force some water up the intake hose from the tank, then try the pump again.

My Gaggia Evolution has a water leak between the brass steam valve and top of cast alloy boiler. Where can I get a new rubber seal to fit this?

The easiest place for this is either servicesunlimited.com or wholelattelove, they have a good supply of parts on hand or find your nearest gaggia dealer and get the part from them.

Gaggia Evolution is overheating

Check the thermostat on the side of the boiler, that might be damaged.

My gaggia evolution leaks water while making coffee .It appears to be coming from inside the machine and leaks everywhere.I have disassembled the machine but i still can 't see where the water is coming...

There are many possible points that the leak can be.

All points of the water supply from water tank to the pressure pump then to boiler and finally to coffee group. All this are connected together with plastic or Teflon pipes with easy fit unions secure with clips

Hi, Our Gaggia machine will not disburse water through coffee dispenser. Sounds like its operating normally till water flow should happen. Then the motor slows down to nothing. Have descaled to no effect....

Try this press the button for ground coffee then when it lights up press the coffee brew button, if water flows normally then the grind on the grinder needs to be adjusted coarser, if no water then the screen on the brew unit is blocked.

Water won't come through my Saeco via venezia coffee machine. It was working fine until I cleaned it so I don't think the pump has gone.

If the pump vibrates when trying to draw water then that is a good sign. Remo;ve the hose on the output side of the pump and turn it on to see if it draws water(BE Careful water and electricity love each other too much), it water flows out the output side, reconnect to boiler and test. If that did not solve the no draw problem then the machine is blocked either at the boiler.

Pump problem on a Gaggia Espresso Evolution

Hi,

You need a bellows pump or similar, when you start the pump you need to set the pump to the water inlet and press in the water with force.
