My gaggia evolution turns on. When I hit the coffee button the pump turns on, but the hoses are not drawing water into the boiler so, no coffee, no steam. Suggestions?
I have had this same problem - it is due to an airlock in the boiler/tubes. Simple solution is to use a syringe or similar and gently force some water up the intake hose from the tank, then try the pump again.
There are many possible points that the leak can be.
All points of the water supply from water tank to the pressure pump then to boiler and finally to coffee group. All this are connected together with plastic or Teflon pipes with easy fit unions secure with clips

Hi
Gaggia Evolution Espresso Machine
I haven't used this machine for some months and when I was trying it I got no flow from the Brewing Head. The pump was activating, the heater working, the steamer was creating steam and I tried going through the 'airlock' procedure after cleaning the shower disc and holder. I did not remove the filterholder gasket.
Water will flow from the steamer pipe no problem. There is no flow at all from the brewing head.
I did notice that the flow had been reducing the last time I used it - Nov.
Is this a case of descaling? ..and if so can you descale when there is no flow through the brew head? Any advice welcomed.
Cheers
Buster
