Problem is with the DVDE side. It is like the gears are out of sync.

Most GO Video units are samsung inside---A shop may be able to take it apart and align the mechanism if no damaged gears etc--this in my view is the drawback to combo units-one half goes out and thats usually the end of it..

Some problem with the mechanism---is problem (not clear) with DVD unit or VCR unit(indicated here its a combo).

The VCR would be easier than the DVD with this issue.

My dvd player works and plays movies but i changed the video to s-video and now i can't see anything on my screen just able to hear movie play. how do i reset it back to normal video?

Make sure you're tv is set on S-VIDEO, not AV1 or AV2 or VIDEO 1 or VIDEO 2, etc... there's most likely a setting on your tv to select your input to S-VIDEO.

this suggestion made on this forum worked great for me.
I don't care if it does sound silly.. smack the unit smartly over the eject tray when you press the eject button.
