the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

I have lost my Manual for the AT&T 1725 answering Machine. Can you mail me a new manual? Send to Burnley Miles, 5325 Calvin Court, Colfax, NC. 27235

Retrevo has the manual for the AT&T 1725 here: http://www.retrevo.com/support/AT%26T-1725-manual/id/473bh046/t/2/ . You will need to enter a code to download the PDF. Adobe Reader or a similar program is required to read the file. You can print it out yourself or take it to a print shop.

I hope this helps.

Our AT&T 1725 has quit recognizing when the phone is ringing. The phone keeps own ringing instead of beign answered.

There are a couple of things to try. First is to check the cable & plug that connect the 1725 to the telephone line. Disconnect the phone line from the back of the answering machine, plug it into a known working telephone, using cell phone (or another land line) call the phone number and see if the phone rings.

If it doesn't, replace the line cord and try again.

If it does ring, check the optioning to make sure it is set for, say 2 rings.

Also, is the telephone line a regular telephone company POTS line or is it one that is being provided by a cable modem? If your phone service is being provided by a cable company, the media converter might not be putting out enough voltage for the answering machine to realize that the line is ringing.

If everything is correct, replace the answering machine.

Upgrade memory chip in at&t 1725 answering machine?

Typically no schematics are ever available for this kind of product as nobody - even the manufacturer - expects to repair them. They are strictly throw-away. But you could open it and try to get the part number from the chip, then search out a suitable larger-capacity replacement. Problem is that almost everything now is surface-mount devices which you probably wouldn't be able to remove and replace without appropriate rework tools. Sad to say, replacement might be the best option.
