The issue isnt allowing it to adjust to the lighting it never adjusts, there is a problem with either the LCD screen or the lense or some thing inbetween those two iteams.

I bought the Kodak M1033 2 months ago.  I used it two days ago and it was fine.  Today I tried and the screen is completely blurry.  I've tried everything and it wont work.  The people at Best Buy say it's a lens issue.  WACK!  I'll never buy a Kodak digital camera again.

Your problem is either likely the lens or a sensor. However kodak does not sell just the lens and out of warranty repair is 70.00. Screw them guys! Ill send it some wheres else to fix. Its less than a year old, I lost the recipt and can't read a few numbers on the sticker for the serial number. So basically he tried to sell me a new camera for 15% off, when the camera cost more now then it did when i got at Walmart!

Your screen looks blurry because u need the camera to adjust to the lighting which it does automatically everytime b4 u take a shot, if u hold it still for a few moments u will hear it adjusting then u will see it become perfectly clear

You don't say anything about light conditions, target color, definition, contrast, and the many other things that can cause this.

Is your camera at fault? Maybe.

Cracked screen cover on Kodak camera

screen protectors are only plastic covers that protects the screen from scratches and such.
It is not possible to buy a new LCD screen.
Since the camera is now Out of Warranty a repair will cost 48 pounds with KODAK.

My Kodak m1033 will not stay on. Once I press the power, the screen is blurry and then it shuts off.

If your using the battery which is included on the box the KLIC-7004 try to clean the 3 metal contacts of your battery using a clean dry cloth. hen charged the battery using AC adaptor or USB cable., Now if this not work, Try to turn On the camera using the AC adaptor if you experienced same problem it means the your camera is defective, But if you can turn On the camera using AC adaptor It means the battery is the cause of the problem

The Same problem

I'm not sure why this works for me, but I think it's worth a try:

1) First, take your SD card out of the camera.

2) Then turn on your camera and let it turn itself off.

3) Read the next step first and be ready to press the shutter release button (take a picture) right after the LCD screen turns on

4) With the camera lens pointed down towards the floor (aim down), turn on the camera. At this point the LCD screen should not be blurry anymore. Immediately press the shutter release after confirming that the LCD is not blurry. If the camera stays on and you can review the picture (most likely of your feet), then you are almost done.

5) Turn off the camera and re-insert your SD card.

5) This may not be a permanent fix, but point the camera lens downward whenever you turn on the camera. It should work normally if you do this. Mine worked normally (meaning I don't have to point it downward when I turn it on) after doing this several times. Your results may vary.
