Re: I have a machine error
Does your machine have a ADF ( document feeder) on it? IF it does check the connection between the ADF and the machine. Also check the connection between the scanner PWB and the DF drive PWB. These are the 2 boards that let the machine communicate with the ADF. If your machine does not have an ADF, check to make sure that the side covers are closed securely.

Press and let down "Clear / Stop", "Start" button on the left to darken or clear, then "Stop / Clear" "U163", "Start" appears "CLE" and there you hit "Start" other time and now.
Try reset this code by entering on the panel: 1087 1087this will take you to service modehit 906 then hit Start keythen on the screen highlight execute and hit start key. the machine is going to reboot and this will take care of your problem.This is a board error but can be fixed by updating the machine firmware.

Also check the connectors from the scanner PWB to the document driver PWB. ( these are the 2 boards that do the communicating , the machine and the document feeder). If this machine does not have a ADF the check the side covers/ doors and make sure that they are closed securely.
the above is incorrect, Kyocera made a mistake by having a thermistor that physically touches the upper heat roller/belt.. it has worn the roller to a point where it throws up the error.. you will have to install a new fixing unit.
I have done over 25 warranty replacements regarding the 4050/5050/2525 etc.
