what model epson?...you need to get it to tell you it is ready for you to change ink...through software on your 'puter when it says no ink... ? help ..go there..do what it says then you wil end up at place where it lets you change and cartridges will be indexed at their proper place to replace
I called a life person who finally showed me that the ink was not completely used up, although, it kept warning me it was so low. I guess from what he said it turns an orange color when completely out of ink and then the cartridge holder moves over so that the cartridge can be removed. I hope he's right. I can still print. The directions would be more helpful if this was explained.
I take all information that I read literally and completely. I'm not computer savvy!
I'm assuming you are using originals. I would suggest you taking the cartridges out and re-inserting them. If you are using refilled cartridges and you used the cartridges to almost empty then probably the chip may have short circuited rendering the chip useless. If you bought remanufctured cartridges I suggest you ask them for replacements. This isn't really that high tech but I hope this helps.
If you already have tried reseating all of the inks and and inks are still not recognized, Please contact Epson tech support for a replacement ink or if they find out after some diagnostics that it is the printer that is having an issue they would be replacing your printer.
check in the printer driver properties to see which cart isn't recognising, usually it is a faulty or empty cartridge but can also be a faulty logic board or ink cartige board especially if ink has been spilled inside machine. I have seen faulty brand new cartridges out of the box. if another known good cartridge doesn't fix it take it in for service.
