SOURCE: Will not fill with water or agitate but will spin.

Hi,
The problem might be due to the motor is trying to run and can't or does'nt start or the motor is running but the belt broke and so it is not transfering any power. You will need to take a look and see which is the case.
Motors and belts can be challenging to repair so be warned if you are attempting the fix yourself. It does depend on the machine some are harder than others....

SOURCE: Washer immediately goes into wash cycle when

The water-level switch regulates your washer's fill volume. This switch is usually a diaphragm device with a small, clear tube attached between the switch and the bottom of the washer's outer tub. As the water level in the tub increases, the pressure on the air in the tube increases. When the pressure reaches a certain level, it activates the switch, shuts off the water, and signals the timer to begin the agitate cycle. If the switch is defective, it may prematurely signal the water to shut off. If so, you probably need to replace the water-level switch.

SOURCE: Maytag Model # MAV6250AWW will not fill with cold

It sounds like the cold water solenoid is not working. Test the resistance in ohms across the coil and compare with the coil on the hot water side. They should both be the same. I don't think the coils are sold separately, so you may have to get a whole new valve, but you could try asking anyway.

SOURCE: When filling water runs onto

Hello, welcome to fixya. Based on your post I understand you have a problem with a Maytag washer, these units are built by Whirlpool (such as yours) as you may or may not already know. That being said, I cannot locate any model number with the number 1 in it, could you double check and clarify perhaps it is a "wvwc700" or other ? Thank you for visiting fixya for your washer inquiry. Please let me know and I'll certainly help in any manner going forward. Regards, Macmarkus :)

No agitation? first use a meter and check ur water pressure switch? that is what sends the machine the message to start wash cycle? You can test it with a meter and with a manual test? ( first locate it in the panel, it has a plastic clear tube hose going into it, remove that tube from its connection, now put another small tube or hose into the slot where it was and have the machine set to wash cycle with water in it. Blow into the other end of the tube. If the machine starts to wash. the pressure switch is more than likely good. now take the original hose tube and plug one end and blow into it the other end, it should be hard and have pressure, if it is easy to blow and u dont feel any pressure and it feels like the air is going out ? sometimes they get busted open or a pin hole and release air causing the water switch diaphram to not open. if both check ok then next the motor coupler or belt if belt driven. check with a multi meter for continuity the door switch, and if there is a little movement on wash cycle in 1 direction only then check the cam dogs in agitator.

Maytag Centennial Top Load Washer drains as it fills.

The water is probably siphoning out of the tub. Your drain pipe is either too low or the drain hose is down too far into the pipe. Take the drain hose out of the pipe and lift it high. I'll bet your problem goes away

Is the water turned on going to the unit............I am guessing yes

If so did you check the other end of the hoses where the connect to the water faucet to see if there happens to be screens on the other end of the hose?

Otherwise sound like either a solenoid issue with the water or a problem with the control board no telling the solenoid to turn the water on.

Maytag Centennial Washer - NO SPIN

OK so it sounds to me like your clutch is just slipping sometimes. Because the issue is sporadic it's hard to test for certain what the issue is, but I would recommened ordering and replacing the clutch to fix the issue. Below is a link to a video that shows you how to replace the part if you'd like.

New Maytag washing machine, but hot water only comes out in pulses. Cold water works fine. Unsure what's wrong.

Check the hose washer on the washer end of the fill hose. (there is probably a screen in it that may have dirt in it. Clean it if this is the case) Are you positive yout hot water valve is turned all the way on?

You may have to remove the valve stem to check the washer which may have come loose.

Turn the water off before you take the top off the valve!!!!

If you need more help, let me know. I want to assist you.
