Question about Computers & Internet
In the built-in Remote Desktop Connection Software in Windows XP Professional, I used to be able to connect to remote computers on my LAN. There is one computer that I mainly connected to. It is my Dell Dimension 2400. I have a slow laptop that I use as a window to use my Dell. It would connect fine before but now it wont. When it is trying to connect, the close button turns to a cancel button. Then, after about one second, the button switches back to a Close button with the password field cleared. It acts like when you get an error message, except there is no error message. Help please! I have searched on two other forums and still can't find an answer! Thanks!
The IP Address (local) may have changed. Go to the computer you are having problems connecting to, and into cmd.exe and type :
Then try that IP you get from ipconfig

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
