Question about HP PSC 1610 All-In-One InkJet Printer

Can nt instal downlod for psc 1610

Hi, had contacted you about 1 mo ago and I as trying to reinstall the software download again to see if I can print in just black before I buy a new printer per advice from Morris service ticket :[8018845670]. I have removed all hp related programs. And it won't install, I get a drop down and it says it was successful but can't access anything. There are ? in doc one for HP device manager and photosmart studio, but can not open them and see nothing in HD pertaining to any programs. Can you help, I admit I am not not that experience on MAC but trying.
Also the download dated 10-26-07 doesn't download at all had to use the one previous to that.

Normal 0 Driver could be corrupt.
Disconnect the printer or at least be sure it is turned off. I'd do both and reinstall the Downloaded Software Update or CD software program that came withthe printer. When the software program asks you to connect theprinter to the USB port, do so and it should again work properly.

When I try to print the page comes out blank. My ink levels are at more than half


Hi, 1st check whether your ink cartridge includes ink or not.( this can b checked within the software came out with your printer; the ink level) and some times not all softwares have these feature. Another way to check is print a test paper and check the the visibility of the font or pic if exist. 2nd try to update printer''s drivers to the latest. Or re-install software+drivers again. 3rd May be you bought the cartridge along time ago or recently but you didnt print frequently or use it ; to avoid letting the ink dries , after all these trials you get new one, and I have another solution which I do not recommend and you can try on your own responsibility, ( uninstall the ink cartridge and put half of the cartridge(don't put it all) 10 minutes in hot water ,of course not boiling one, this may let the dried ink to melt again and you would be lucky if it worked. Again you should try to buy a new ones if the 3 ways I mentioned didn't work with you. And if they are expensive, I recommend buying a new printer because their price seems close to a new ink cartridge(black+color) in some countries. good Luck.

Try uninstalling the Printer driver and reinstall it again, then try printing to see if it will still do the same thing with the print head checking.

Hi,

Trying cleaning the contacts on the cartridge and clean the contacts on the printer use a dry tint paper towel to clean the contacts. Then try to reinstall the cartridge using the software. Next, lets try to print the self test.
Begin by disconnecting the power supply from the wall (not the back of the printer) for at least "30 seconds." This is essential. Then plug the printer back in and follow these steps:
1. Press the "Copy" button.
2. Press the "Menu" button.
3. Press the down arrow button once or until the screen displays "Maintenance."
4. Press the check mark button to select the "Maintenance" menu.
5. Press the down arrow button three times until the screen displays "Print Test Page."
6. Press the check mark button to select this. The Self-Test will start printing.
The self-test should at least print out a set of either black or color bars, if not both (if you have a printer with both color and black installed simultaneously.) Should this test fail, try it again without cartridges installed. If the self-test still fails to take paper in and make sounds like the carrier is moving across the paper, this is a hardware issue, and the printer will require service. If the self-test completes without any cartridges installed, run the self-test again with the color cartridge installed. (If you have both black and color cartridges, after this test, run the test again with just the black cartridge installed.) If you find that either cartridge causes the self-test to fail.

Solutions straight from HP...
If your HP All-in-One and computer are not communicating with each other, try the following:●Check that the HP All-in-One print queue is not paused (Windows) or stopped (Mac). If it is, choose the appropriate setting to resume printing.
For more information about accessing the print queue, see the documentation that came with the operating system installed on your computer.
●Check the USB cable. If you are using an older cable, it might not be working properly. Try connecting it to another product to see if the USB cable works. If you experience problems, the USB cable might need to be replaced. Also verify that the cable does not exceed 3 meters (9.8 feet) in length.
●Check the connection from your HP All-in-One to your computer. Verify thatthe USB cable is securely plugged into the USB port on the back of yourHP All-in-One. Make sure the other end of the USB cable is plugged into aUSB port on your computer. After the cable is connected properly, turn yourHP All-in-One off and then on again.
●Check other printers or scanners. You might need to disconnect older products from your computer.
●After you check the connections, try restarting your computer. Turn your HP All-in-One off and then on again.
●If necessary, remove and then install the HP Image Zone software again.For more information, see Uninstall and reinstall the software.

Black ink cartridge is 2/3 full, but doesn't print


Normal 0 Driver could be corrupt.
Disconnect the printer or at least be sure it is turned off. I'd do both and reinstall the CD software program that came with the printer. When the software program asks you to connect the printer to the USB port, do so and it should again work properly.

Black and yellow ink not printing


This is what worked (so far) with my Dell1.gif AIO A940 printer1.gif that wouldn't print black ink.

It worked for awhile when I chose photo/glossy paper, but then it quit printing again (see below).

PRINT, PROPERTIES, PAPER SETUP, SPECIALTY PAPER, PHOTO/GLOSSY


I got it to print, again, by putting SEVERAL papers in the feeder (instead of just 1) - there is a sensor that is supposed to automatically detect paper type, and it might not be working right, especially with one or only a couple of sheets.

Dell A940 Color Ink Problem


Do check the option and make sure that you have not inadvertently set it to black only- This could be computer wise or on the A940 panel. If you are sure all is well here Remove the scanner software and reinstall. Email Dell to See what they have to say
