Hi.
Intermittent faults like this are very common in laptops. It is most likely cracked soldering on the mainboard. Sometimes it can be repaired, or it may need a board replacement. Unfortunately, paying the big money doesn't mean high quality these days. Just look at the failure rate of Apple laptops as a good example. A friend of mine has had 16 failures in the top spec Macbook.

Sorry, I didn't realise you were able to do mainboard re-working. It is hard to know if I'm advising another technician. This brand is very rare in the market, so I don't think you'll find a lot of info on it. Just strip it down, remove the main board. Re-solder the connectors where any daughter boards plug in. You may need to re-work some of the ICs if they are coming away as well. Clean all connector mating surfaces also. Clean RAM connector. Re-seat CPU. Then I'd partly re-assemble it and see if it is still intermittent.

Cpu up grade

Yes sir.

The eMachines T5082 Desktop PC uses an Intel D102GGC2 motherboard,

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813121031

The motherboard chipset is an ATI Radeon Express 200,

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparison_of_ATI_Chipsets#Comparison_of_Northbridges_2

Scroll down the chart under the - Model - heading.
ATI Radeon Xpress 200 for Intel.

Processors Supported;
Intel Pentium 4, Intel Core2

If the motherboard chipset will support an Intel Core 2 Duo CPU, it will support an Intel Pentium D.

Plus you can always go to Intel Support, and look, lol!

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Intel_Pentium_D_microprocessors#.22Presler.22_.2865_nm.29

So what are we talkin' about?
A Intel Pentium D, model 925 or model 930?

Up To a maximum frequency rate ('Speed'), of 3.0GigaHertz
L2 cache of 2 x 2MegaByte (2MB)
800MegaHertz Front Side Bus. (800MHz FSB)

FOLLOW Anti-Static Procedures.
THOROUGHLY clean the top of the Processor, and bottom of the Heatsink.
Properly apply fresh, new Thermal Paste.

Can i up grade my single core cpu pen4 550 3,4GHz to a Quad core or dual core either one would help

Depends on the socket type.. Socket 423 and 478 do not support core duo or quad core processor types. However, if you have LGA 775 (aka socket T) your motherboard will support the following:
Intel Pentium 4 (2.60 - 3.80 GHz)
Intel Celeron D (2.53 - 3.60 GHz )
Intel Pentium 4 Extreme Edition (3.20 - 3.73 GHz)
Intel Pentium D (2.66 - 3.60 GHz)
Pentium Extreme Edition (3.20 - 3.73 GHz)
Pentium Dual-Core (1.40 - 3.33 GHz)
Intel Core 2 Duo (1.60 - 3.33 GHz)
Intel Core 2 Extreme (2.66 - 3.20 GHz)
Intel Core 2 Quad (2.33 - 3.00 GHz)
Intel Xeon (1.86-3.40 GHz)
Intel Celeron (1.60 - 2.40 GHz)

IBM Thinkcentre m50 video card

Hi, i'm getting an ATI Radeon 2600XT for this system soon. But any AGP card *should* work fine (i'm hoping), just stick to midrange cards due to the low-grade power supply. I will post after the install and let you know how it goes.

Updating my GT5464

The 8800GT will work and the GT5464 is a core 2 Processor motherboard. But why put such a high grade video card into a motherboard that will only take two gig memory? If you are a gamer which most likely you are, by you wanting a 640mb video card. My I suggest looking into a motherboard that will take two video cards. I found one for a co-worker that came was a complete PC with two 512mb video card for $400.00. new. Less the hard drive and burner. Running dual video is where the gamers are going to. Plus you can up grade to Quad. You can't up the GT5464 to Quad.

The "loud beeps" are the BIOS telling you what's wrong. Check the manufacturer and/or manual to find the error code(s).
