Recent trouble with downloads

Recently I have started having trouble downloading. Imediately after the download finishes and after i have been asked to run the programme; I get a mesage telling me internet explorer has stopped working. The download then vanishes and nothing is in the download folder. I think the problem may have begun after installing Trend PCillin. I am using an asus M51t series with vista

    I had already tried this but unfortunately it didn't work. At the earlier restore point I was using AVG (if that gives you any clues)

    Yay!!! Problem solved....Thankyou so much. I disabled Trend PCillin and tried again. I didn't have to reinstall Internet explorer. So many lost hours trying to solve it myself.

I suggest you use System Restore, to remove Trend PCillin. (any files and folders will not be affected by this procedure).

Run system restore as follows:

Start, Programs, Accessories, System Tools, select System Restore. Choose a restore point on a date before you installed the problem program. The procedure should take about 15 minutes.

    Hi I found some information on this problem.

    The best thing you can do is to update your Internet Explorer from Microsoft.

    Just go into and search for Internet Explorer, then update to the newest version

I recently downloaded myscribe to access an ebook for school. Once the program downloaded my ebook appeared but when i went to open it I recieve an error message and the program closes. My class starts...

Either the book or the program is corrupted. Start by reinstalling the program: uninstall what you have now, manually delete every remaining file and folder (do a search for all of them) then reboot the pc. Now download the installer again (as in Save, not Run) from here
Once the download has ended close the browser, open Computer and create in Programs a new folder called Books. Next launch the installer - during the process you will be asked where to install, select the Books folder you have just created. Wait for the install process to finish then reboot again.
Now copy the ebook in the pc and try to open it with the newly installed program - if it fails again then the book file is corrupted and you will have to redownload it from the school's server - or from where you got it the first time.

just right-click on executable file and click "Run as administrator".

select KILL ALL to remove viruses that causes you "Open With"

Hi you can still jailbreak your phone with redsn0w 0.5.6b5 and you need the 4.1 ipsw for your phone download redsn0w and the ipsw files,start red sn0w when it asks for the firmware point it to your iphone software you downloaded and click next when ready.
when you get the options to download cydia just tick that box and battery percentage not ipad bootloader you already have that, then click next and follow the instuctions on the screen once redsnow has finished and your phone has rebooted install cydia with the app that has been put on by redsn0w once installed it is jailbroken you can also unlock if need be.

Recently I have a problem: download a software and save it to a folder. Then I run it and get a message: error launching installer and so I cannot install it. But I can install it inside the downloader....

Restart your computer. Open your browser and navigate to the site to download. Do not start any other software. Start the download. If you are asked if you want to RUN or SAVE, select RUN. There are many possible causes for the problem, including defective download file.

If you do not have the software, you need to download the software from one of the following locations:

Official Canon Drivers and Software


After downloading is finished, unplug the printer USB and run the software that you downloaded.
The software installer will tell you when to connect USB.

Some Canon camera may not be Vista compatible and cannot work on Vista.
