Remove the 2 screws on the front panel and remove the panel. Run a cycle and look for the leak. Post back your findings.

Your door lid has a switch that makes these functions work.First open the lid and look at the right side of it.Does it have a arm on it?If it does follow the direction where it is going to hit and now listn closely while your lifting the door up & down at this contact  can you hear it click? If its not clicking  or the arm is broken  off the lid replace  the lid switch/or the broken lid switch arm.

Water-inlet valve A defect in the water-inlet valve may mean that it's no longer able to shut off completely when the electricity has been turned off to it. If this occurs, the valve may leak and drip water into the clothes tub. In time, the water may accumulate substantially. If this happens, you need to replace the valve.

Water-level switch A defect--or an obstruction--in the water-level switch may mean that it can't tell the water to shut off. So the machine overflows. This switch senses the water level in the clothes tub. It's usually a diaphragm device with a small, clear tube attached between the switch and the bottom of the washer's outer tub. As the water level in the tub increases, the pressure on the air in the tube increases. When the pressure reaches a certain level, it activates the switch, shuts off the water, and signals the timer to begin the agitate cycle. You can either clear any obstruction in the tube or replace the water-level switch.

SOURCE: I have a Maytag (Performa)

Searspartdirect.com carries all the major brand names. Just type in your model number in the search menu and use the exploded view diagrams under the various parts headings on the next page. If you do not wish to order on line, or wish to use another website, use the part number provided on the Sears website. Maytag identifies some of their parts by different series. If the part you need is listed this way and you are confused, please post back and I can assist. Make sure you provide your model number for me. I hope this helps you.

SOURCE: leaks water on floor and spin cycle very loud

if it sounds like a boeing jet, you will need a new seal & bearing kit. This is something a technician would have to do. many "special" spanner wrenches and spring tools required

Sounds like your fill valve is stuck in the filling position...see if you you have water standing in it a couple hrs after a drain cycle. if it does then the valve needs to be replaced or you can take it apart carefully,(there is a sping that might fly out and get lost) and clean it. Mine had some small trash in it from the city water line.. The left side has an over flow hole is where your water is coming from..

Hi jamac74

The leak could be comming from one of 2 places, either the pump or the main seal. the best way to find wherer the leak is comming from is to take the front panel off. you can do this by poping the top up there is 2 clips that hold the top down. use a putty knife to pop the top up then there is 2 screws holding the front on.

when you put the drain hose on the floor the water will ALWAYS drain out. When the drain is in the proper location (above the height of the tub) and the water is still leaking, if its leaking as it fills you might have a loose hose,or a cracked water inlet valve. If after the water is in the tub and its still leaking you have a bad seal.
