Problem for Motorola SURFboard Cable Modem
My cable modem is not recognizing my router/phone adapter.

I found out today that the reason why I'm experience upload at dismalspeeds (45 to 128 kb/s) is because my Comcast cable motorola modemSB4100 is not recognizing my Broadvoice SPA2102-R linksys phone adapter/router.
When I disconnected the phone adapter/router my bandwidth went from6mb/s DL/ 110kb/s UL to over 12mb/s DL/ 1.5mb/s UL. My computer is a Compaq Presario P4 HT with Vista Basic. Is there a way toforce my modem to accept my phone adapter/ router?

Did you get the broadvoice from comcast? I ask, because they won't troubleshoot it if it is not theirs. The speed issues sound like it could be a problem with Powerboost (which will basically boost your dl speeds about 100% for a small duration. If you have powerboost in your area, the functionality is turned on and downloaded to your cable modem
