You have to repair its power supply, there are a couple of capacitors you have are almost short that's why the TV is turning of so to be in safe mode from power failure.

My tv turns on and off by itself the minute I plug in the cable. .... Samsung E6030 led tv hv blinkin red light ...
The tv is having a problems with the board called T-Con board it is dying and the problems. That why the tv is not sustancening the tv pictures for those coded pictures pixels by the T-Con board to stay on to the tv LCD screen panel. This tv problems only causes by the tv T-Con board it is dying only if the tv problems came on to the tv by itself only.If these problems causes by u or an object by outer forces by hitting to the tv LCD screen panel itself. Now the tv LCD screen panel itself it is dying and the causes.Than the tv it is not repairable,tv now only can it to do a replacement of the tv whole LCD screen panel itself only. Not practical because the tv LCD screen panel are 90% important to the tv and the cost of the tv.If u replacing the tv LCD screen panel itself will cost the same as a new tv.The tv is under a year old,why don't u just call Vizio corp. and take ur tv warrenty repair.
Check the speaker/s. If found OK; check and replace the damaged component/s at its audio output section circuit board. If needy, replace this board as card basis. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Pull up older posts. Search the site by type in the "brand name" to your device; in the "Search box at the top right of the display window of the Homepage" to get gathered related posts. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/ The most probable cause is with its audio output IC itself; overheats.
kcs36dd, Lcd TV's also have, just like LCD monitors, an AC to DC voltage power supply. It is called a "switch-mode-power-supply" and generates the DC voltages required for all the other important electronic circuits inside the unit. 98% of all 14" to 22' lcd panels have backlighting provided by "cold-cathode-fluorescent-lamps" (CCFL) that produce WHITE LIGHT so you can see all the pretty colors that the glass LCD PANEL produces on the screen. The INVERTER circuit requires 12vdc to 20vdc from the SMPS to convert into 500 to 1000v ac to light-up the CCFL's. IF the SMPS detects a FAULT CONDITION with itself or the INVERTER it will go into what is known as FULL or PARTIAL SHUTDOWN MODE to try and save itself from a catastrophic, nonrecoverable failure. e.g. sparks, smoke, fire. lmistyrel on aim.com I could give you more assistance if you had provided following informatiom.
1. How old is the unit? 2, Approximate total "ON" hours unit has? 3.Has unit failed within the WARRANTY period? 4. Will SAMSUNG do a cash+old unit swapout because of PREMATURE FAILURE? 4. Do you know enough to do a unit TEARDOWN and inspection to possibly determine ROOT CAUSE of SMPS/INVERTER failure? 5. Can you handle a soldering iron and solder to make DIY repairs to unit. 6. Since your unit is just a little more complex than a LCD MONITOR, have toy viewed on YOUTUBE short video clips of "LCD monitor disassembly" or "LCD monitor repair" for the most common cause of BLACK screen complaints? If further assistance is required do additional post to original. 12fixlouie aka louie12fix on fixya
I would try leaving the TV unplugged for 30mins so the TV can reset itself.
If that doesn't work, your TV should still be under warranty. I know 95% of come with a 1 year warranty.
The most common problem with Sylvania TVs made by FUNAI, the Backlight Inverter board fails to early in life. ( That's the part that powers the screen)
The Tv can't power up the screen and it turns off automatically. Basically called "Protection Mode" so it protects the other parts inside the TV.
I had a similar problem and I believe the problem is with the high voltage circuit and ccfl transformers. If you know electronics you may be able to find the chips that provide the power input to the CCFL transformer (I had two transformers and 4 FET's). You will also need a micro soldering station and excellent soldering skills to replace the flat packs (SMT). Hope this helps.
these sets that shut down or turn themselves off after a few seconds usally have a bad backlite board in them. look closely at the screen and see if one section looks darker than the rest of the screen (top middle or bottom - top seems most common in my cases). some times if you put the tv on an unused input you can see the variation of light level on the screen, but don't get confussed by looking at the screen from too great of an angle. thanks ......techman 580-243-8025
