Check all cabling, make sure power is done. Try different cable, try different cable format (for example DVI instead of VGA).

John E McMahon,
The port you are describing is an HDMI Connector (black) - Connects to a TV for both 5.1 audio and video Signals
NOTE: When used with a monitor, only the video signal is read.

I have dell optiplex 755 desktop with lcd monitor.everything is all right but monitor starts for 2 seconds and then turns off help me to solve this problen

If is possible we need to establish if the monitor is defective or not. Please connect to a different monitor/LCD TVscreen or just unplug the monitors data cable from the back of the computer powered it up and check if is giving you a message on the screen as "No signal detected". It will tell you that the monitor is fine and is a problem with your Dell computer.

My computer beeps and doesnt send a signal to the monitor or keyboard. When it does send signal it says entering power save mode on monitor. what do i do to get it to boot?

Sounds like you may have a bad memory module. If you have more then 1 memory module installed in the computer try removing one at a time to see if one is shorting your computer. Make sure the power is OFF when removing memory.

Power save mode

Yes, you arent getting a signal to your monitor from your video card. Try replacing. If its onboard then the Mainboard may be bad. These machines are known by Dell to go bad and is covered under warranty, provided you still have it.

The message you are getting is coming from the monitor, not the P.C.

Its telling you you it went into power save since its not getting a video signal from the P.C. Check connections as well.

If your using any kind of splitter, remove it and connect monitor directly to P.C. to be sure.
Good luck
