Water will not dispense into ice maker. It does dispense into the door. Ordered a new ice maker, but nothing changed. Water will flow in for a second, but then stops. So, no water, no ice. Is it the water inlet valve solenoid?? We have had it unplugged for weeks trying to fix it, so I know there is no blockage from ice. Could there be blockage from something else? Water filter was recently changed, but has been changed many times without this issue.
Not typical for both sides of your=> WR57X10032 Dual Water Control Valve
but this is possible. You will need to do some testing of the control valve found at the link above or HERE If there is no problem with the part then you will need to turn water off and disconnect water line feeding the refrigerator. Place the water line into a bucket and have someone turn water back on so you can see if there is something blocking or restricting flow to your refrigerator. I will be here to answer any questions you may have, Thanks Sea Breeze
Here is a manual=> GE Refrigerator Technical Service Manual

Thanks so much for the advice, we will try this weekend and let you know.
You are welcome! I will be here should you have questions, Thanks John Tripp
ok, we have replaced ice maker, no change, we replaced water valve, no change. What else can we check besides calling a repair man? If I turn ice maker off then on, water will pulsate in for about one second. So, water is getting through, but will not pour in to fill tray. We did put water in manually, ice machine dumped ice, but again no water.
If there is no ice blocking the ice maker fill tube and the water stops and suddenly starts then you either have too much water pressure, relay problem on motherboard, ice maker fill tube is loose or not mounted properly or simply something you cannot see and are not able to tell me because we both overlooked something. I am leaving a link to reach my email Joe. I am working this weekend but as soon as I get back I want you to email me so I can send you my phone number so we can solve this over the phone. OK? Here is the link you will need to solve the capsha to reveal my email http://www.google.com/recaptcha/mailhide...

SOURCE: Water does not dispense from the door but there is water to the filter fitting
connect the water line in to the solenoid [with out the filter] to see if u dispensing water
SOURCE: Ice maker not getting water after changing filter
Check the following:
Is the freezer door closed completely?
Is the ice storage bin installed correctly?
Is there ice in the storage bin?
Has the ice frozen in the storage bin?
Is ice stuck in the delivery chute?
Has the wrong ice been added to the storage bin? Use only
cubes produced by the current ice maker.
Has the ice melted around the auger (metal spiral) in the
ice bucket? Dump the ice cubes and clean the ice storage
bin.
Is the ice dispenser stalling while dispensing “crushed”
ice? Change the ice button from “crushed” to “cubed.” If
cubed ice dispenses correctly, depress the button for
“crushed” ice and begin dispensing again.
Has the dispenser arm been held in too long? Ice will stop
dispensing when the arm is held in too long. Wait 3 minutes
for dispenser motor to reset before using again.
The ON/OFF switch is located on the top right side of the freezer
compartment.
To turn the ice maker on, slide the control to the ON (left) position.
To manually turn the ice maker off, slide the control to the OFF
(right) position.
NOTE: Your ice maker has an automatic shutoff. The ice maker
sensors will automatically stop ice production, but the control will
remain in the ON (left) position
REMEMBER:
Allow 24 hours to produce the first batch of ice. Discard the
first three batches of ice produced.
The quality of your ice will be only as good as the quality of the
water supplied to your ice maker. Avoid connecting the ice
maker to a softened water supply. Water softener chemicals
(such as salt) can damage parts of the ice maker and lead to
poor quality ice. If a softened water supply cannot be avoided,
make sure the water softener is operating properly and is well
maintained
The Dispenser Lock (on some models)
Your dispenser can be turned off for easy cleaning or to prevent
unintentional dispensing by small children and pets.
NOTE: The lock feature does not shut off power to the product, to
the ice maker, or to the dispenser light. It simply deactivates the
dispenser levers. The ice and water dispensers will not work.
Style 1: Press the LOCK BUTTON to lock the dispenser. Press the
UNLOCK button to unlock the dispenser.
Style 2: Press and hold the LOCK OUT button to lock the
dispenser. Press and hold the LOCK OUT button a second time to
unlock the dispenser.

If there is a reset button on your ice maker try pushing it. Many ice makers have two holes for reset. A general rule of thumb is if the ice maker fingers are stopped in a slightly vertical position then your ice maker unit is working. If the fingers are stopped anywhere else then it needs some sort of attention or replaced. Make sure there is water, or ice in the ice maker tray, if not then the problem is with water supply.
