Question about Mitsubishi VS-50609 50" Rear Projection Television
Recently we've been having problems with the color on our TV. The color and picture are fine when you first turn it on, then about 10-20 minutes into viewing, the picture "loses" it's red color/hue, and the image is then only in greens and blues. The image itself is clear, so it's just a color problem. If you turn the TV off for 30 minutes or so, it will turn back on with full color, but will again lose the red color and go to the green/blue screen after a few minutes. It seems like the length of time that the screen stays in full color is diminishing, so something seems like it's "going out" for lack of a better term. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
Yes you have a problem in the red crt driver board. Most likely the driver transistor is failing. This is a component level repair, so if you have no experience with TV repair, play it safe and call in a trained tech to assist you in this matter. Good Luck
