That sounds like the compressor has shorted to ground. You can have it tested to confirm. Unplug the refrigerator and remove the back panel that covers the compressor. There should be 3 wires going inside the cover of the compressor. Mark all 3 and mark their location so if compressor is OK you can put them back in same order. The plastic cover may snap on and you may need to squeeze the sides to unlock the cover and sometimes there is a metal clip holding the cover in place. Remove the cover. May look hard but it's simple. There will be three connections under the cover and 2 will go through the start relay. Unplug them leaving the three prongs exposed. They may be marked R =Run, S=Start and C=Common. Set your meter on continuity and then begin by testing 2 at a time until you have checked S to R and R to C an C to S and S to R again. You should get a reading all the way around. If no reading between any of the pairs as you go around you should get no reading between any two the compressor has an open winding and is defective. Then if it passes that test then touch one probe to R and the other to the copper pipes or clean metal on outside of compressor, then S to metal outside and C to metal outside. If you get a reading this way even just a little. The compressor is a burnout. Then let me know what you find. Thanks, Sea Breeze

I have a 55" Panasonic flat screen that won't turn

Try disconnecting all of your HDMI cables and plugging the power cord of the TV into another wall outlet. If this resolves the issue, you may have had a small power surge from either your wall outlet or one of your source devices. It is recommended to connect your TV to a surge protector if you haven't done so already.

** TV won't turn on.** No picture or sound. Please Help !

If the red light won't come on it is not getting power.First, try plugging it in to a different outlet,or unplug one of the gadgets you know is working and plug the tv in there. You are simply switching. If you know that there is power coming from the outlet and it still won't come on then you'll have to check the cord;don't go much farther than that without expert help.

THere is no electricity in the bedrooms and I can't get them back on?

If the circuit breaker will not reset - all the way off and then back on with a click sound. Then something you have plugged into the outlets in those rooms is probably shorted causing an over current condition. If the circuit breaker won't reset, shut off all lights and then unplug EVERYTHING and then see if it will reset. If it does, then replug everything one at a time until the electricity goes off again, that is the bad apple. But if it won't reset, then your breaker is probably bad. Yes, they do go bad, just infrequently.

Hotpoint rvm1625sj01 no power

Hello

Plug the microwave into the outlet if the microwave won't power up. Make sure the plugs on the microwave match the type of outlet. A four-pronged outlet can only be used with a four-pronged plug. Same with three-pronged outlets---they only work with three-pronged plugs.

Inspect the plug. Make sure it hasn't been cut or tampered with. Four-pronged plugs can't be cut down to fit a three-pronged outlet. Three-pronged plugs mustn't be forced into four-pronged outlets. A three-pronged plug mustn't be used in a two-pronged outlet, either.

Replace blown fuses, or if there's a circuit breaker, check it for tripped breakers. Sometimes the trip won't be obvious, so cycle the circuit breakers. Turn them all the way off and then back on again.

Plug another appliance in the outlet. You will find this easier with three-pronged appliances. Simply plug a toaster, or other appliance into the microwave's outlet, and see if it works. If it works, you know the problem is with the microwave, not the power circuit. Have the microwave serviced or replace it. If the toaster or other appliance doesn't turn on, you know the problem is with the circuit.

HP 8710p says "plugged in,

This means there is either an issue with the charger, outlet, or plug. If you have tried restarting your computer and/or plugging in to different outlets, you may need to get another charger. If another one won't work, you'll have to get the port on your computer replaced. The Geek Squad at Best Buy can do this for a low price.

Demudifier worked great, all a sudden it just stopped. No power. Now it won't start up. What should I try?

First, check the outlet that it's plugged into, to make sure that there's still power to the outlet. If there isn't, then the circuit breaker for that outlet has been tripped, in your home's circuit breaker panel. Leave the dehumidifier unplugged and reset the circuit breaker. If it trips again, without the dehumidifier unplugged, then the outlet is at fault. Perhaps there's a loose wire connection or the interior of the outlet is cracked.

If it didn't trip without the dehumidifier plugged in, plug the unit it in,. But, before you do, make sure the dehumidifier's Master ON/OFF Switch is OFF. Once it's plugged in, turn the Master ON/OFF Switch to ON and set your controls. If it runs now, GREAT! If it trips the circuit breaker again, there's either a short in the power cord or an internal electrical short. Which will require extensive troubleshooting to find.

Hope this helps you solve the problem. Please let me know. Thanks.
