Question about Pentax K200D Body only Digital Camera
I bought this camera used and I put brand new batteries in it and it shows low batt and flashes and will not do anything. And will only last a few seconds before it truns off.
Batteries must be Lithium or rechargeable Ni-Mh.
Do not use Alkaline, Ni-Mn, or Li-on.
Use of Alkaline may (to quote the manual) "not support all functions" - they say use in emergency only.

I called pentax and they told me only use Energizer batteries. I did not think it would make a differance but the "cheap" batteries do not deliver steady power even that there new the power flux is enough to throw these new cameras off. there that sinistive. Energizer's deliver a very even power and that is the only battery that pentax recamends. All outhers even dualcell delivers uneven power and that will cause the camera to think the batteries are dead.
