Do i have to remove battery cables to store for 6 months

    we will not be using pronto m 51 powerdhair for 6 months.what do i do too maintain batterys do i remove battery cables

No. just charge chair every four to six weeks without fail for a 12-24 hr period each time. you can disconnect them, but for battery health and longevity keep them charged

2008 Triumph Sprint ST cuts out for no reason

Hi, Morne and the usual suspects are:
1. Severely discharged or a damaged battery must have 12.5 volts or more and be able to pass a proper "LOAD" test if necessary, you may have a preliminary reading of 12.5 volts or more but little or zero amperage the battery is faulty and must be replaced, AGM batteries fail in this scenario more so than lead acid batteries.
2. Faulty alternator/generator and or voltage regulator.
3. Loose or corroded battery terminals and or cables especially the "NEGATIVE" cable, look for loose, corroded, or broken connectors inside the cable harness at "BOTH" ends.
4. Faulty main circuit breaker or ignition switch, check for loose connections and continuity.
5. Faulty system and or ignition relay, check for continuity.
6. Faulty ignition coil, ignition/electronic module.
7. Faulty CKP, CPS, CMP, MAP, TPS, or BAS sensor, corroded, loose or broken wire connector pins/sockets.
8. Throttle cables and or idle speed improperly adjusted hot idle speed should be 950 RPM to 1000 RPM.
9. Faulty neutral, side stand or clutch lever safety switch.
10. Fuel tank empty
11. Fuel tank contaminated with ethanol sludge.
12. Water or dirt in the fuel system, or clogged filter.
13. Restricted, blocked or kinked fuel line.
14. Faulty fuel pump.
15. Faulty pressure regulator.
16. Faulty or clogged fuel injectors.
17. Lean angle switch is faulty or needs adjustment.

My 2011 Triumph Sprint GT wouldn't attempt to start yesterday.There is no reaction to start button and lights don't come on. ABS light flashes slowly.Battery has been charged and ridden weekly.

Hi, Tony and the usual suspects are:
1. Ignition Switch not in the "ON" position.
2. Engine Run Switch in the "OFF" position.
3. Discharged battery, needs to be 12.5 volts or better and be able to pass a load test if necessary.
4. Check the battery terminals for damage or corrosion check the battery cables at "BOTH" ends for loose, corroded, or broken connectors, "INSIDE" and outside the cable harness, perform connector wiggle test and check cables with an ohmmeter if necessary.
5. Tip over sensor needs a reset.
6. Faulty ignition switch.
7. Faulty starter button.
8. Faulty kickstand or clutch pull in switch/sensor.
9. Starter control circuit, relay, or solenoid faulty.
10. Main fuse or circuit breaker may be blown or faulty.
11. Check for engine trouble codes.

How do you replace starter on honda rebel 250

unscrew battery, remove wire on starter, make sure oil wont run out when u remove starter.. replace the oring unless old one ok / and no new oring..

bolt back up, connect wires - connect the battery up LAST..

Change hovearound battery?

1. Disconnect joystick cable.
2. Remove seat.
3. Undo straps on battery covers.
4. Disconnect batteries.
5. Remove batteries.
MPV 5 requires 2ea 12V, up to 35 ah agm or gel batteries. (The ah will vary depending on the brand of battery used). My personal preference is Werker batteries (12V, 35ah agm) at Batteries Plus. If you can get the chair there, they will install them for you and give you a 1 year warranty which is 6 months longer than most.

I have an older FR 350 Porter Cable framing nailer. When I shoot a nail it continues to release air for just a second then stops. What could this be?

Over time vinyl seals and orings become worn and do not hold pressure. You can revive the gun by removing the head and pulling out the headvalve. Remove the orings and clean, reinstall same orings and lubricate with silicone paste lube. If the surfaces where the orings contact are scratched, smooth with very fine sandpaper. Make sure that the cylinder seal seal fits snugly. Some cylinder seals are incorporated in the headvalve (ring of vinyl) and others snap over the cylinder. If this ring fits loose, air will leak past. If possible remove the ring and clean then apply RTV sealant and reinstall. There are orings in the trigger valve that are troublesome. It would be easier to replace the whole valve is air seems to be leaking from under the trigger. Oring kits are available on ebay and Good luck

Good Morning, I have a Porter Cable Finish Nailer BN125A. When firing, nail does not go through and piston stays down and compress air goes out the head valve non stop.

Could be very simple problem of headvalve oring coming off or pinched. Remove the head and look at the oring installed on the headvale. Sometimes this oring will fall off the grove. If the oring is off groove and is pinched, you may need to replace with generic oring sold at Lowes (if oring is gold vinyl replace with black rubber from lowes, will work better). If oring is in place, pull out the cylinder and examine the driver for bent blade/broken. If bent, make adjustment or replace as needed. If the driver is in good shape check that the check valve is in the proper place. The check valve is a black rubber band around a series of holes on the outside of the cylinder. Good luck

Air leaking from top of the gun is caused by headvalve orings or trigger valve. Easy fix, remove the head and pop out the headvalve. Remove the orings from headvalve and clean grooves /orings. Reinstall orings and apply plenty of silicone paste lube. If guns holds pressure after cleaning and new silicone paste, order oring kit and have handy when problems start again. If the gun keeps leaking, remove the trigger valve and replace with new or change orings within valve. Good luck

Hello, there is air coming from the trigger area, I suspect there is some kind of o-ring or some kind of seal broken where the trigger goes into the piston area, I just want to know how to take that apart...

Trigger valve is part number A08368 or (old part #897458). Easy repair. Remove air supply hose, and nails. Remove pin holding trigger to expose trigger valve. Spray soapy water on valve to determin if air is leaking from outer part of valve (orings that contact the body) or around the pin. Remove roll pin/s holding trigger valve in body of gun (use 3mm pin driver, some guns have one pin others 2). With pins removed, apply air pressure to gun and valve will pop out (use heavy glove or rag in hand to catch valve because some valves come out with force). With trigger valve in hand notice the two groves on sides of valve that roll pins contact (when you re-insert valve align valve so groves align with roll pin in body). Remove the two pins holding inner workings of trigger valve. There are two orings on the trigger pin, three orings on the inner valve and two orings on the outer part of body of valve. Usually, the orings that cause leak are the two smallest on trigger pin and three on the inner valve (unless soapy water test indicates outer orings). Orings are available at dewalt service center by part number or if you like to tinker, Lowes has many usefull orings in the plumbing department or replace the whole valve for about $25. Use plenty of silicone paste lube on the orings (sold at lowes). Valve should press in without a great deal of force and be sure to align valve to roll pin in the body. Use 3mm punch to temp. hold valve in gun for test. Good luck

The oring on the headvalve/piston should be replaced. You can use any oring that fits snugly on the groove. Factory oring is vinyl but use black rubber oring, works just fine. Most likely place to find orings is Lowes in the plumbing department. Select oring smaller than groove so that it will fit snug and should be about 1/8 in thickness. There is a smaller oring behind piston, just make sure it not cracked and check for upper seal in head to be in place. Finally check that surface there oring seals on head is not scratched. Remove fine scratches with #400 grit paper.

In the last 6 monthes the car has breakdown in front of stop sign, and the battery icon shew on the panel, then I shift to "P" and off ignition, then I start again and shift to "D" and the car running away...

Replace the fuel filter first thing. Remove the battery cables and clean the cable connections and the battery connections. Check all electrical connections under the hood to insure they are tight and secure. Look at all wiring for any wire that may be shorting out as in a bare wire touching metal.
