Blue dots all over screen and getting worse

Pretty much it just started with a few dots, and progressively gets worse as time goes on.
TV works fine, other than the blue dots. Tiny dots, like the stars in the sky.

same problem than the lamp blew out

Our TV is four years old, and has blue light down the left side of the screen, and blue dots scattered throughout the screen, as though pixels have burnt out. We just replaced the lamp, and it didn't help at all.

Same problem as described by the others. More and more blue dots show up everyday. Our set is 4 yrs. old too.

Can a blue dot on a tv screen get worse or stay the same.

One little blue dot is not enough to warranty the television. If you read all the documents on the set, it will tell you that some imperfections in the display are allowed. The good news is that it wont get any worse

That is the first sign of the DLP chip failing ,the number of white dots will increase as time goes on.
The only solution is to have the DLP chip replaced, but it is an expensive part. You can call Samsung at 1-800-samsung to find the nearest service center.

Near the bottom edge of the screen on my Wega KF-50WE 610 has appeared a ''blue haze'' that appears after the TV has warmed up. It started a few days ago as ''fuzzy blue dots'' about the size of silver...

This was caused by a defect in the optical block of the TV. It will only get worse with time and the only way to fix it is to replace the whole optical block which is very expensive (over $1000 usually) and time consuming (you need to take the whole TV apart). However, since it was a defect, there was a class action lawsuit that caused Sony to extended the warranties for certain models on the optical block for parts and labor. Call Sony to see if your model was one of the ones they extended the warranty for.

When I first turn on my TV, I get horizonal faded lines

it probably has leaky capacitors in the hyper board or the video process board, this repair requires a qualified tv repairman, you can't do it yourself, alot of actual repairman can't handle this repair. it will get progressively worse as time goes on the more leaky the capacitors become.

The first mistake was the Philips TV. They are the worst tv. They are constantally needed to be updated. If you have warranty, I would recommend you taking it back or calling philips customer service and getting your tv repaired or replaced.

HDTV is getting blue dots and the right side has turned blue

These issues are problems in the light engine (optics block)
the dots are called "starfield" and the geometric is "roadmap"
replacing the light engine will fix the issue. for awhile, sony was extending the warrany on the engine for these issues only, but that may have expired.

36" CRT Toshiba has that vertical issue mentioned on here a bit

Your problem is most likely caused by a cold solder joint in the vertical circuit. Normally this is easy to find and correct. The problem will only get worse over time, but not likely for more damage to occur.
