SOURCE: Electric Clothes Dryer Problem

if the dryer worked fine before with the element not staying on when you open the door, etc, then what you have done is a very common mistake to make, you must have dislodged a wire off, or maybe placed one back in the wrong place, its a very easy error to make, which is why when removing parts for repair on any appliance you must make very detailed notes, better still take digital photographs with a digital camera double check any wires etc, don't worry i am a retired appliance engineer and even we can make this mistake

SOURCE: estate dryer electric, heating element gets hot but motor does

shut off power to dryer. take front off dryer, remove belt from motor and idler pully (if there is one) try turning the motor shaft by hand. if it doesn't turn ,take off back of dryer and remove blower housing and see if anything is blocking the impellers.. if not any of these then you may have to get professional help it may be a bad motor or timer

SOURCE: Whirlpool LER5644A No heat and motor wont Turn

Replace the dryer wires.
Put your meter leads into the 4&5 slots.
Make sure the door switch is closed or jumpered.
Push the start button.
If you read no voltage the issue is with the wiring, the timer, or a relay.

Dryer turns on but there is no heat. Is there a fuse  for the heating element? How to get to the heating element to change it if needed? Model DE309 Seie 01 Serial No. 733699   EC

Thermostat controls heat. There is also a motor centrifugal switch, in the element circuit,

that the motor closes to insure the motor is turning. Try another heat setting. There is

more than one thermostat. You may have blown the 'thermal fuse' too, which requires

replacement.
It is possible that your element has failed also.

Tripped high limit. Must clean the lint filter and the exhaust vent tube and all the way in
to the dryer. Hot air exit is restricted.

Dryer flips the breaker ran 4 1 year and nothing changed started this 2 days ago any idea about the

If its tripping your breaker either the motor is seized for some reason (easily tested by trying to turn the motor pulley by hand), or something in it is shorted out, most likely thing to short out and trip a house breaker is the heating element.

You can easily test the heating element as the possible cause by taking the 2 wires off the element connector, tape up these wires so it doesn't short out, plug the dryer in and try to run it. If its the heating element shorted out then the dryer will now run without tripping your breaker but of course not heat. If so replace the element.

Motor does not turn

if coils is heating are you sure motor isn't running or just the drum not turning ? if drum not turning suspect belt ..if motor not running but element still heating suspect element is contacting outer case ..with coil touching case 110 volts is present even without motor turning if timer is turned to heat position element will not heat to capacity but will get hot enough to eventually blow element fuse
