Question about Kenmore 57029 Side by Side Refrigerator

Kenmore refrigerator not working

I have a Kenmore side by side Model # 10653562202 manufactured in 2003. When I woke up this morning I noticed the food inside seemed was warmer than normal. All lights are working and I adjusted the temperature setting but with no success. I did notice the fan is working but that appears to be about all that is happening. It is not cooling at all.
Any ideas?

Thanks for your response. I can see that the fan is working but I am not sure how to tell if the compressor is working? Can you advise? Thanks

Hi!!! Go to the back of the frig and see if the compressor and condensor fan motor are working. If not then you have a bad current relay.easy fix.its located in the compressor where the wires go into..Good luck.Heres a picture of your current relay..

HI,seen this a couple times when i did apartment maintenance, check the box that is attatched to compressor. If it has burnt wires before the overload and relay you my have to replace them .If the overload and relay are loose from compressor you will need replace compressor but would be more cost effective to replace frig.

Refrig shut off and will not restart - light bulbs still working

this refrigerator sounds like a 'frost free' type, and as such can, usually, only be repaired by the manufacturer. local refrigeration engineers cannot get the parts. your fault sounds like a PCB (printed circuit board) has gone, which only the manufacturers have in stock.

Kenmore Elite refrigerator stops cooling - Relay keeps cycling

the relay on the compressor is most likely the culprit part# 8201786 you can buy it at the local sears parts and repair center it is very easy to replace it. your refrig compartment will start warming up soon. to prevent damage to your compressor probably a good idea to unplug the refrig until you get the part replaced..
