Question about Sony KP-51WS500 51" Rear Projection Television
I have had this tv for 4-5 years and today was the first day we noticed that a yellow hue formed on the left side of the screen outlined by blue.
After looking at it further it looks as is the blue is sagging on the left side of the screen.
If the blue was up 4 inches more it would be lined up with the yellow and I assume the picture would look normal.
What causes this?
How easy is it to fix?
Wha are the costs of the parts needed?
Bad convergence Amp ics mounted to large metal heat sinks on deflection bd.Sony parts around $40.00 each-generic approx 12.00 ea.The board must be pulled out of chassis frame to unsolder the ICs.and some alignment will be needed after replacement.NOT a do it yourself job unless experienced at soldering and desoldering.
