Call T Mobile, my brother had the same problem. It can be one of two things. Your phone is defective, or you need a software update. Hope i've helped. Oh, and when you call them, call from a phone other then the phone that is having trouble.
this is a very simple solution if someone hasn't told you the answer yet.... just hold your sidekick right side up then flip it as if you were putting it on a table and then there will be a button with 2 arrows and then 1 with what looks as a dot hold in the button with the do until you see the screen start to light up
have you tried pressing the little reset button, it is located underneath the screen when it is open, slightly move it as if you are closing it and get a toothpic and press the reset (its in a small hole)
If it still turns on, than the problem is the screen. Really, the only thing you can do is replace it. You can buy a new screen on ebay, and get a tool too. Just take out the screws on the metal flip part(you need a special tool), and then detach the ribbon very carefully. You can take out the Phillips screws on the screen cover to replace the screen only or just replace the whole thing with the cover already on.
