My panasonic dvd recorder / remote control is not working On pressing button on remote I get dvd2 on recorder screen but no other response. I have tried reset without effect

Try reprogramming the remote itself; i.e. point remote at unit (while on), press and hold the [2] and [ENTER/OK] buttons together for 5 - 10 seconds, then release. The remote's command should now match that of the unit (DVD 2) (the unit should now recognise the remote). Failing that, remove batteries from remote, replace with new ones (just in case) and repeat the above suggestion. You should not need to reset the main unit.

Whenever the batteries are replaced in Panasonic remotes, in some cases, a remote command reprogram is often required to ensure that the remote commands the unit fully and correctly. You may find this procedure outlined in your instruction manual. Hope this helps a tad.

Panasonic dvd s75,when remote is pressed the panel shows up as" remote dv2" why?

Because the command mode of the remote control is different to the unit - hence the DVD 2 (or similar) indicator on the front panel display. Try changing the command mode of the remote itself, by pressing and holding ENTER/OK and the number 2 button together for 5 - 10 seconds, then release.

You should hopefully now have full remote function which matches your unit. Failing that, reset the unit to factory defaults as outlined in the user instruction manual (if you still have it, and this can usually be done without the remote).

This may or may not help.

Does not command the tv

Remote controls often fail. If changing batteries does not work buy a 'universal' remote from any tv store.
You will need a set up code to link it to your tv. Get the code here

I just replaced my Dish network receiver and now I can't get my Bose Cinemate remote to control it using any of the codes provided. What is the problem?

The remote doesn't have the required set of commands stored in it. Your only option is to perform a code scan, maybe the set of commands for another model will match your. If even this fails then there's nothing left to do - your remote will not work with your receiver.

URC-9910 remote: The RF part for this remote stopped working.

I have the same remote as yours and occasionally the RF remote is not working due the interference signal from outside or next door at certain hours.
My suggestions:
(1) To relocate the receiver and reposition the anntena for better reception of the RF signal from the remote unit.
(2) Replaced the battery.

Hope these help!

It is possible that the remote sensor in the TV has failed and required replacement, or there is a fault in the processor area that deals with the remote commands. This is serviceable by an experienced TV tech.
