If you have upgraded the Laptop from Windows Vista to Win 8 , Did you do a Hardware compatibility test? You may be in for bit of a mess. Take a look at this: http://howto.cnet.com/8301-11310_39-57390888-285/check-your-hardware-for-windows-8-compatibility/ The driver's are another issue, sometimes you can use Win 7 drivers, change compatibility, and modify the drivers to work with your hardware. I have done it , and it can be quite a pain, and quite frankly not worth it. I would suppest Win 7. When you "jump" two OS's ,Vista to Win 8, it doubles your fun.
Hi i_shaw1,
I see you want info regarding the Lenovo A310 all in on e desktop, you can go to lenovo.com/psref then click user guide and manuals
or you can go directly to this lenovo link http://consumersupport.lenovo.com/us/en/UserGuide/Guide.html
Note: that if you system is still under warranty that it is advisable to call lenovo for proper assistance on the installation of your additional ram, if ever anything that may get damaged on the mcine under the warrany period will not be covered by the base warranty that your system mayhave unless you have an accidental damage warranty for your Ideacentre which is not applicable for Desktop and all in one systems,
you can call 18774536686 for Lenovo Ideacentre support.
I hope that this will be helpful. thanks and be careful installing your RAM ^_^
There is generally a setting in the BIOS to set what state you want NUM LOCK to be in at boot time. Usually you press F1 or F2 at the Lenovo boot screen to access BIOS.
