The blue light on my Honeywell HCM-710 humidifier will not turn on

The light on my Honeywell HCM-710 humidifier will not turn on. It worked great for about 2 months and suddenly the light quit coming on. I've cleaned the filter and also let the humidifier stay unplugged for 24 hours and it still doesn't light up. The fan will turn however the humidifier isn't producing moister. How can I fix this and what causes the blue light to not power on?

SOURCE: Not producing hot water

the only time it's the valve is when you loose pressure on the hot side of any faucet, depending on the age of it you could just call the company bosch and they will tell you how far away a real tech is from you and contact them for you, you do have a 1 year labor 5 year parts warranty with the tankless unit, for you I hope you are within your warranty,,,, if not change it to a rinnai system the will send people to you if you have a problem

SOURCE: Our Rheem gas water heater was acting finicky a

You're probably in for a service call and/or possibly water heater replacement if unit is more that 5-6 years old.
Your water heater plugs into outlet. Check outlet with cheap circuit analyzer to make sure the unit is receiving correct polarity without line interference.
If unit is in the attic, then add more venting to soffit and roof so pilot is not being snuffed out by hot air. If unit is in basement, then open some doors and a window and see if unit needs more air.
Most gas water heaters require yearly cleaning and service.
Clean the combustion parts and tubes.
Clean the air intake.
Have gas company check gas pressure.

The problem can be bad gas control valve, air in gas line, low gas pressure, gas shut off handle not fully parallel with gas line, dirty combustion parts, lack of combustion air, improper venting. Or combination of all things. It's an electronic gizmo, anything can be bad or shorted, and repair may not last long.

Without a trained service technician to ohm-test the parts using correct service manual, then we are guessing at the cause.

Power vent water heater implies that you have side wall venting which must be replaced with another side-wall vented unit -or- it implies rapid reheating of water.

If water heater is more than 6 years old, you might be money ahead by installing a new one from local box store. Avoid the power vent and electronics. Local box store will have passive roof-venting type water heater BUT box store does not sell side-wall power vent. If your power vent goes up through the roof, then box-store variety gas water heater will work. Total cost $350 do-it-yourself for 40 gallon gas.
Or get 40 gallon 240Volt electric for $220 and connect to circuit breaker box. Requires no venting, and is easy to repair for years to come.
Or small 120Volt electric that plugs into outlet to tide you over until gas repairs can be made.
Look for scratch-n-dent models and always offer 10% off.

Shower uses 5-9 gallons hot water.

T6360 dial not working

Turn system off then back on and see if it is working. The manual can be obtained at:

There is not enough information to give you any more help. What does "Dial not working indicate", the Honeywell T6360b1028 is a heating and cooling thermostat with the potential of having a heat anticipator.

Honeywell WV8840B1109 temp control valve on water heater. Status light @ 4 blinks between 3 seconds indicating "high temperature shutdown" even though lighting pilot with water cold. .

II have exactly the same problem: Honeywell WV8840B1109 temp
control valve on water heater. Pilot is on, but the burner won't
no matter how high I turn the temperature knob. Status light blink
4, which by the controller is "high temperature shutdown" and has
nothing to do with the problem. The real problem is that the
computer chip in the controller has gone bad. Problem is solved by
changing a new gas control valve/thermostat. The old Honeywell
control valve uses pure mechanical stuff and was very reliable,
almost never has a problem. I don't understand why they switch to
this new electrical one which use the tiny voltage generated by
the thermopile to run, easy to break, because of the electric
chips, and is more expensive. The only reason I can think of is
that they want to get more money from our pocket.

Detecting gas and won't light

Open following link for troubleshoot error codes showing 7 flashes on Honeywell gas control valve is system lockout due to flammable vapor:
http://waterheatertimer.org/pdf/Honeywell-gas-control_error-Damper-series.pdf
The FV system in Rheem can be tripped by presence of flammable vapors such as gasoline or paint fumes etc, or it can be tripped if water heater was dropped, or mis-manufactured, or if gas control valve is defective, or if water heater is not getting adequate fresh air, or there is inadequate venting of combustion by-product.
When combustion chamber overheats, then glass vial breaks and damper shuts off air supply to water heater and it will not light.
