Question about Insignia LCDTV26 26 in. Television

1 Answer

So i tried connecting my Nintendo Wii to my new Insignia LCD, and I did everything the way you are supposed to: I plugged the console in, set up the remote sensor, and I connected the audio jacks and what not. However, the Wii isn't showing up on any of the TV's inputs. What do I do? What input is it SUPPOSED to show up on?

How do i get my nintendo wii console to appear on the tv screen ive tried every channel and hdmi and such and nothing i know its on and working cause i feel the wii remote vibrate just nothing shows o

Kate what did you plug the cables into I suspect it was a grey cable with a red , white and yellow plugs. If I am correct this cable should be plugged into the AV1 or AV2 input port of your television. Try changing the input source to AV1 or AV2 Check it is plugged to AV1 on the Television and not into Conponent input !

My nintendo Wii has delay with my 55' Insignia

This can be normal depending on where hooked and refresh rate of the set or unit connected---if no delay with DVD etc. it is a mismatch of units.

HOW TO PLAY MY DVDS, AND CONNECT A WII AND PLAYSTATION 2

If you have the Insignia NS-42L550A11 (inputs shown here - http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?id=cat13506&type=page&h=387&skuId=9595066&productId=1218131141674&navigation=prev&count=3&chk=true - or something like it), you might have a hard time plugging all of your devices into the TV.

Your DVD player might have a Component Out - if so, plug it (all 5 plugs) into the "Component" section of the TV. If you don't have a Component video cable, you can simply use a couple of Red, White, and Yellow cables instead - just be sure you connect the proper ends so the colors from the DVD match the colors to the TV.

As for your Wii and Playstation - I believe they both have the simple Red, White, and Yellow output plugs (labeled "AV IN" on the back of your Insignia). Because your TV only has 1 input for "AV IN," you might need to purchase a switch of some kind that you can plug your Wii and Playstation into and the switch will have 1 set of Red, White, and Yellow plugs to hook into the TV. The other option is to simply plug and unplug your Wii or Playstation directly to/from the TV depending on what you're playing... not an ideal scenario (particularly if you don't have easy access to the back of your TV.

The following link is for a 2-way switch that would do what you're looking to do. You could even get a 3-way switch and plug all 3 devices into it if your DVD player doesn't have a Component Out.

Recently purchased a wii and had no av cable input on my tv, so I purchased a component cable, hooked it up, and only got black and white. After spending two hours messing with both the wii settings and...

You can't use component input on the tv. You have to have component output on the wii and it doesn't have it. Are you sure you don't have A/V inputs on your set? I don't know of any set that doesn't in the LCD field, even the cheap imports have them. I tried to cross your model number and it went nowhere. Could you re-check your model number and send it to me. Some models of Insignia had a hidden compartment on the sides by the antenna jack that pops out.

We cant get our wii to work on a new 32 insignia lcd hd flat screen. Not sure what to pick under input selections.

If you didn't purchase the COmponent connector, set your TV to look at the A/V input. Composite cable is what comes standard with the Wii (yellow is video, red and white are audio).

As long as the Wii is connected to your TV correctly (cable color matches input color, and there are no other devices on a shared input...i.e. HDMI + Composite in on Input 4) you shouldn't have a problem.

Hope this helps!

I plug in my xbox 360 to my insignia through component cables and sometimes it works and other times it says not suppoted.

This could be the result of several things. Make sure that your cables are connected properly and firmly seated. Detailed connection instructions can be found in the owner's manual (if you need a copy of the TV manual, visit InsigniaProducts.com and search for your TV model number). Replace the cables with a new set if needed. Ensure that your Xbox is set to output a compatible signal. Try the Xbox on another TV to determine if the console or the TV is at fault.

New tv connected to cable, suppose to have 52

Hello,
With the cable securely connected to your new TV, go into the Menu setup features and tell the set to AutoProgram all cable channels. It will then search for every signal. This will take a few minutes but give it some time to scan,
If it cannot find anything then you do not have a proper cable or antenna signal.
Cheers

Insignia LCD TV won't recognize computer input...

Heres the dealyo.
Click start button
Click control panel
Click display
Click settings
adjust screen resolution (probably have to go down) until the tv displays your computer
if this did not work, you will have to adjust bit rate from 32 to 16. Fiddle with the settings until the magic happens.
You will not get any sound unless you use an audio jack plugged into t.v.

Im here all week

Wii Delay on new Insignia TV

We just upgraded from a 32" LG tube tv to a 46" Insignia LCD and had the same problem with our Wii and PS3. For us, we just switched the TV settings DCM (digital clear motion) function. We keep it on high for movies and TV shows and turn it completely off when playing Wii and PS3 games. Hope this helps!!
