Pt, Should be a yellow wire from the water level switch according to the diagram I have. See if it has 120V to motor when full. Just take it to ground. Same with the lid switch in closed position, it shows here as yellow, but could be grey, these diagrams are not always accurate. I think you have a level switch or lid switch problem. Check for voltage to the motor when it should be agitating. back.

SOURCE: washer was in fill cycle and stopped

You've got a short circuit somewhere in that electrical circuit.

First, unplug the washing machine.
Replace the fuse. If it doesn't blow immediately, then there is likely a short in the washing machine, and from what you describe, it's in the motor.
If it blows, then there is something wrong in that circuit, and you can likely rule out the washing machine. Check all devices on that particular circuit, of which there can be a number of plugs.

SOURCE: 1A fuse behind pront panel

check the voltage of the motor. actually the motor is got weak and its pulling too much power and blowing the fuse.the motor is got weal check the voltage of the motor.its value is mentioned on the side of the motor body. if the motor is OK checked then other possibility is the problem in heating element of the dryer or the washing machine .heating element and motor this are two parts which pull the current but if they get weak they pull more current and this blows the fuse behind the front panel. ------- if both are checked ok then there is a wiring problem.from door switch to main board.this has to be checked.
This will help. Thanks please keep updated.please do rate the solution positively .thank you for using fixya

Maytag Neptune Front Load Washers Machine Control Board Repair

Component failures on Maytag Neptune Font Load Washers such as the pressure switch, wax motor, hot and cold water valve solenoids, timer motor, 24 VDC circuit, and the overall electrical buffer circuit have significant effect on the machine control board. Failed resistors on the machine control board can be used to determine failed washer components. Resistor R9 is associated with the pressure switch, R11 is for the wax motor, R51 for the hot water valve solenoid, R52 for the timer motor, R53 for the cold water valve solenoid, R143 for the 24 VDC circuit, and R162 for the overall electrical buffer circuit. The TRIAC Q6 is also associated with the wax motor while TRIACS Q3, Q9, and Q17 are for the timer motor, cold water valve solenoid, and hot water valve solenoid respectively. These TRIACS must also be replaced should the corresponding resistors fail or burn out especially when there's no power going to the associated component.

The most common problem experienced is the failure of the wax motor as indicated by the inability of the washer to advance to the high speed spin cycle with the "door locked" light not lit. Replace the TRIAC Q6 and the resistor R11 on the machine control board to get the machine back into operation. Use MAC97A6 or NTE5656 for Q6 and a 3.9 kilo-ohms carbon or carbon film resistor for R11. It is recommended to install a 1/2-ampere pico fuse in series with the wax motor to prevent damage to Q6 and R11 should the wax motor shorts out and fails again.

Replacement of the wax motor is a must before installing the repaired or new machine control board to prevent damage to the repaired or new part. Make sure the wiring harness connections of washer components are good and snug fit. Reseat the connectors several times to clean off corrosion build up both on the connectors and terminals.

Hello MrBig57,

Try unplugging the washing machine from the mains for about 15 minutes, turn off the circuit breaker to that socket. After 15 minutes, turn on the breaker, plug the machine back and see if it responds normally.
If that does not work, it could indicate a problem with the control panel or some other component that will require dismantling.

I recommend you get a professional to to do the job.

If you wish you can contact Maytag HERE.
Or call them using these numbers:

Maytag window ac blows line cord fuse soon as turned on

Check all your electrical wires and connections. If all okay, you can remove the compressor wires and ohm the compressor motor windings to ground. If you have continuity from any winding-to-ground, your compressor is shorted out and will need to be replaced.

well htere is a fuse, its located right behind the washers front panel on hte right hand side. its an inline fuse( you can find at hardware or auto part store FUSE (250V 1A) , but this would stop all operations not just water fill. With the front panel off you can "see" through the machine to the filll valve and check it for poower when the "fill" is selected, I would point to a bad water valve or even a faulty prssure switch( not allowing power to the valve befoer condeming the timer.. the pressure switch is also located on the front rail by the fuse assembly anbd will have a plastic'rubber tube connected to it, i would disconnect and blow through the tube for possible obstruction.. ( if the pressure switch is satisified., the machine will think there is wate rin the machine and therfore wont allow anymore to enter.

Fuses keep blowing out

IF water is not going in the drum It sounds like the water valve coil has finally failled , It has been blowing fuses ,because the ccoil on the water valve was getting weak . change this water valve and you sohould be ok , but before doing so chaeck to see if you have the proper voltage going to this valve when It is calling to open ,if the power is there and the water is turned on the valve should be letting water in the machine . you can also take a ohm meater and check the valve for proper resistance . . If the machine is up in years I would change this valve . from the chack I mentioned earlier . hope this helps you

If your washer doesn't seem to work at all, check these:

No power
Lid switch
No power Checkto see whether power is getting to the washing machine. Is it pluggedin? Has a fuse blown or is a circuit breaker tripped?

Lid switch Ifthe lid switch is defective, your washer can't spin and may notfunction at all. The switch is inside the washing machine main housingnear the door frame. Often you have to raise or open the top or frontof the washer to get to the switch. If it's defective, you need toreplace it.

Some machines have a special lid-switch fuse nearthe lid switch, inside the control panel. If this fuse blows, the unitwon't fill with water until you replace the fuse.

Fuse location

Follow power wires (power unplugged), from timer toward power cord entry. If they go to a fused board then there is the fuse, if the unit is not fused, either the timer has blown, or often you find a fused board near the motor and pump assembly, inside the bottom part of the appliance.
