Wharfdale Car Radio WH-180

Ive recently fitted the above into a Vauxhall Corsa, it works ok until you remove the ignition key then all the stations disappear you then have to retune it. There are 3 plugs coming from the car 1 has 10 input pins the other 2 only have 8 input pins its these 2 plugs Ive used, I havent changed any wires it was just plug and play! I think you need a 12v for the memory but where do you get that from?

If you have access to the 8 pin plug and have a voltage tester check each pin with the ignition on. Once you have found the pins that have voltage see which one goes off w/ign. and which one does not. The one that goes off cut it about 2-3 inches from the plug and cap the end of the wire that was going to the plug. With the wire from the plug remove 1/2 inch or so of the insullation and find the pin that did not go off w/ign and skin that wire back about 1/2 inch and apply the other wire and tape up. this should do it.

I bought a fm speaker adapter 12-2054 for my car to hook up my XM radio. It takes the place of the cassette insert to attach to the car speakers. It has fm stations 88.1 .3 .5 and .7 and 107-1 .3 .5 and .7...

I have the cigarette plug for this. I found it in my tech "graveyard" and didn't know what it was for, until I searched on the serial number.
If you want it, please let me know. You can have it for the mailing cost. I don't need it/don't want it.

In car usb conection wont work

It appears this stereo is compatible with a limited number of mp3 players. I had the same problem with my Ford Edge Sync option. See if you can get a list of compatible players from the manufacturer/ dealer. If not, try different mp3 players until you find one that works reliably and purchase one.

Hi Barb22,

Sounds faulty to me, I'd take it back to the store and get a replacement. However, I guess you want that DVD out first? I'm not sure this will work because the units logic board is mostly likely faulty and will prevent the DVD transport from opening. Unplug the unit and press the eject button, keeping it pressed plug the unit back in. If the unit does not come on then press the power button too. If the unit starts to open release the button immediately. It's unlikely to eject, but you might get lucky.

Sorry I can't be of much further help.

Getting playstation 3 sound coming out of dvd surround

This wont be very helpful, but, it is worth noting that although you may think you bought a "Wharfdale" product, i'm afraid you haven't. Chan bros. bought the rights to the name some time ago and so what you have is a cheap non-descript chinese import. sorry.
