It appears your motor controller board has failed in this instance.

For replacement parts - head on over to PartSelect.com or RepairClinic.com and enter in your full model number for a full parts listing.
I recommend both sites because ...

FixYa has no affiliation with either site - I have been using and recommending them for years - trouble free.

PartSelect has a great schematic database for locating the part on your unit and great "testimonials" for each part that often times includes HOW-TO information.
RepairClinic has pictures of each part they sell and also a great how-to and troubleshooting for basic repairs.

If your unit has never been serviced - there should still be an original service manual enclosed in plastic taped to the inside of the shell.
In the service manual are Error codes, maintenance procedures, and troubleshooting steps you can follow.

Anything too complicated or beyond your scope should be handled by a professional.

If you think you want to tackle the repair - and have gotten stuck on a step - reply to your question and I will be glad to help you out.

Thanks for using FixYa - a 4 THUMBS rating is appreciated for answering your FREE question

Auto washing machine drum vibrates makes loud noise

When machine is empty use fingers to try and move drum side to side. Is there excessive movement? 2 to 3 mm is ok. If drum moves to much it will be the drum bearings. Easy fix for an engineer or competent diyer. Millions of how to videos on utube.

My washing machine is so loud and rattles so much when spinning and the noise is so loud we had to switch the machine off from the mains... please help

Check the following:

Is the machine level?
- Adjust the feet until you cannot move it freely from side to side with your bare hands.

Open the front door, feel the inner drum by pressing with your hand firmly at the base of the drum in up and down movements, does it feel unstable? If it does:
- Either the shocks need replacing (Not Common), or the Spindle or Spider as it is referred to is broken, seek replacement of these parts.

Kind Regards, and Good Luck

I had a lot of sheets and a couple of towels in the washing machine and it eventually the load just stopped before the spin cycle(dial on sanitary mode) I drained the water and tried to drain and spin and...

Thank you for using FixYa. Does the drum of your machine appear to move freely when turned by hand? If it does with no resistance, I would say that the drive belt has either come off the motor or it has perhaps been placed under a strain with a "heavy" wet load and and snapped. The drive belt can be accessed through the panel on the rear of the machine. If the belt has simply come off, run the belt round the small pully wheel on the motor and then work it onto the large wheel on the back of rhe drum. Turning the large wheel on the back of the drum in a clockwise direction whilst guiding the belt on will make matters easier.
I hope this as helped. If so please place a Most Helpfull vote

Hi
Remove the drum belt, and spin drum by hand.
If it feels rough, or it is noisy, then drum bearigs have failed.

Check the pump drive belt. It may have come off.
Sounds like the motor is spinning but the pump belt isn't spinning the pump.
Pull the front cover and look under the machine for the belts.

WMA54 Hotpoint Aquarius drum does not turn during wash or spin

If the machine pumps water inside but does not start :

Start checking the lid switch, if this is stuck the machine wont start.

If the drum does not move at all, the motor, the motor control unit, the motor coupler, the control board may be faulty.

For more details , see: It doesn't spin

hi sir' start the wash machine empty and see if it happens when nothing is in it.
2. When machine is off, open the top grab the centerpiece inside the wash machine and pull and push it slowly, does it move? (For safety unplug the machine)
3. Make sure machine is 100% level (front to back, left to right)

The most common thing is bad drum bearing, which force the wash machine out of whack when in spin / wash. Which are common and the best thing is to call Maytag.

thank u .........................................please rate

Zanussi aquacycle 1000 washing machine spin problem

this is possible due to a bearing collapse or bearing spider broken. this causes drum pulley to be out of line and the belt comes off
