Nothing runs. Fans won't turn. Circuit doesn't trip so far. When turned off, fans turn freely.

SOURCE: my outside unit fan doesn't

You may need a new start capacitor or fan motor.I would have the capacitor checked by a electrician and changed if needed. Good luck and thank you.

SOURCE: Makes loud noise when first turned on

It may have been damaged in shipping or from the manufacturer. I would consider exchanging it for a new one.

How to get to dryer drum. GE mod#dbvh520ej2ww

Hello there and welcome to fixya
The most common problem with these are the motor or the motor bearings or rollers
and next is clothes getting caught between the drumb and the shell of the unit
Here is some troubleshooting help for you listed below
Motor If the dryer motor only hums when you press the Start button, the motor may be burned out. Here's how to test the dryer motor: Remove the belt. Check for obstructions in the blower fan housing. Manually rotate the shaft of the motor. If the motor is very stiff, or impossible to rotate manually, and the blower fan housing is clear, you need to replace the motor. If the motor rotates freely, run the motor momentarily with the belt removed and the blower in place. If the motor runs fine with the belt removed, there may be a problem with the idler pulley or the clothes drum. Try to rotate the drum by hand. If it is very difficult to move, correct any problem with the rollers or pulley, and then reassemble the dryer and try it again. If the motor hums but doesn't rotate on its own even with the belt removed--yet you can turn it freely by hand--you usually need to replace the motor

Whirlpool model ge8858kQo

Determine if access to motor is from front or rear. Remove securing screws, remove panel and observe motor. Is the pulley spinning? If not, the start/run capapcitor may have failed- it looks like a small shiney can (about the size of a pack of cigarettes) and generally has two white wires going to it. Replace. With unit UNPLUGGED, grasp the pulley of the motor and turn it. Does it turn freely? if not, bearings are frozen and you may have to replace motor. If motor shaft is turning, then check belt. Is it broken or slipping? if so replace, if not, check tub and see if it moves freely on it's felt bearings. If not, check two support rollers toward back of unit. Are they intact and moving freely? If not replace.

Ack the fan doesn't sound like it's working. When we turn it on I hear an electrical hum, but no fan sounds. Turning the fan up to 3 doesn't change the elecrtical hum, but since I can hear that I assume...

Yes Dan the hum means power is going to the fan motor but the shaft is seized. If the photo on this site depicts your rangehood you may be able to fix it. Turn the power to the unit off. Remove the upper cowling. You should be able to see the fan. Sometimes it only takes a spin of the fan and a bit of spray on lubricant on the shaft to free it up. If it spins freely then turn power on and give it a try. Some fans will be seized tight and no matter what you do they won't spin. This means it's time to get a new fan motor.
Good luck.

I have the Intex Sand/Pump pool filter Model SF 20110. It's been running real great for the last 4 months. However recently it has been tripping the internal overloads and I have found the pump motor to...

I just looking into this issue my self. The pump cools itself by a internal fan, which is run by the motor. Well I took the housing cover off to find out all the fan blades have broken off and were setting in the base of the pump.

Once you remove the fan blades from covering the air intake, it might be fine. I will find out my self once summer gets here.

Should the an on my master 150000 btu be hard to spin . My wont run all of a sudden. It keeps tripping the reset button aftera humming sound for a few seconds

the fan should turn freely. those fans have a tendancy to dry out and will trip the reset. if the fan isn't shot completely, try oiling it and working the blades until they loosen up. most of the fans used on these units are not bearing type but brass collars which dry out. if they don't loosen up, the fan is probably too far gone. usually the humming indicates the motor trying to turn the rotor but can't turn the dry rotor shaft or a bent blade stuck on something. good luck jay

Onkyo TX-SR805

When you turn up the volume, the amp works harder and generates more heat. There is a small transistor attached to the heat sink that detects the excessive heat and shuts down the amp before there is damage. There is a circuit inside that should detect the increased volume and turn on the fans. Either this detection circuit is defective or the fan driver transistor is defective. This unit may need to see a servicer. In the meantime, you can provide additional air flow to keep the heatsinks working efficiently. Realize that this is a short term "fix" and you should really get this repaired ASAP to prevent permanent damage to the amp components.

Need replacement motor

Before trying top replace anything, make sure you have power at the motor from the cord.
If you have no way to check for power, unplug and change the cord to any other you have around.
That will assure that the cord is good or bad.

GE nautilus wont run

These motors were famous for the seal sticking to shaft. If this is an older unit turn the fan on motor by hand until it breaks free. Do this with power off.
