How to find the answer to quartiles

Step 1 - put the numbers in order from lowest to highest
Step 2 - find the median - 2nd Quartile
Step 3 - find the 1st and 3rd Quartiles

Step 1 - 90 96 100 114 114 120 121
Step 2 - 2nd Quartile, in this case, is the fourth number from either end, since there are 7 numbers - 114
Step 3 - 1st Quartile - the midpoint between 96 and 100. (96+100)/2 = 98
Step 4 - 3rd Quartile - the midpoint between 114 and 120. (114+120)/2 = 117

Good luck.

Let me know if you have any questions.

How to do plot and whiskers in a casio fx-115ES calculator

This is not a graphing calculator, so you cannot perform a box and whiskers plot.
If you know how to find the Median(=Q2), the lower (Q1), and upper (Q3) quartiles, you can draw your box and whiskers plot on a piece of paper.

If you are ranked in the first quartile is that better than being ranked on fourth quartile?

That depends on which way the rankings go. If you're looking at exam scores where higher scores are better then it's better to be in the fourth quartile. If you're looking at race times where faster times are better then it's better to be in the first quartile.

How do i sort out random numbers?

Here is a sequence of screen captures that illustrates how you do 1-var statistics. I believe it is clear enough.
To sort tap EDIT and select Sort (ascending)
To perform 1-var stats Tap CALC and select one-variable.
Specify the list where the data is (list1), if you have repeated entries you should create a frequency list ( in L2). If no frequency list, frequency is set to 1.
Once you get the stats you can scroll down to read Q1,Q2, Median, etc.
