The only DIY advice appropriate here is to make sure the unit is completely programmed before attempting to make coffee. If it was unplugged at any time, and/or a power failure, it could have lost programming. Problems beyond that are usually not ''user serviceable.''
Hi. the flashing lights usually means that there is a water stavation fault. Not getting enough water, so there must be a blockage or pump fault. Dazza REPAIRER
when the display says "Descale" it means that the machine wants to run a cleaning program to remove any limescale build up on the heating elements.
you will need to put a descaleing solution in to the main water tank and run the descale program
follow the instructions in the manual to descale Note (useing anything but the recommended descaler may void the warranty)
Program quantity is trying to program that amount. When it starts to brew and gets to the quantity you want for that cup size push the brew button again and see if it stops.

Wait until brew cycle is complete and 2 beeps sound
When the machine is plugged in, the screen will display 12:00.
Press and hold the "HR" and "MIN" button until the numbers flash.
Then press the "HR and "MIN" button to scroll through the numbers. When the numbers stop flashing, the time has been set.
CAUTION! When you pass the number 12, the letters "PM" appear to indicate the time between 12 noon and 12 midnight. When these letters do not appear, the time corresponds to the morning hours, from midnight to noon. Always make sure the hour is set according to the correct period so that programming is correct.
2 Programming the start time
Press and hold the "PROG" button. The numbers and the indicator light flash.
Press "HR" and "MIN" in the same way to set the hour to the desired start time for the cycle. When the numbers stop flashing, the programmed time is set.
CAUTION! Programming the start time is not possible when the coffee maker is running.
