Download the service manual from elektotanya.com and find the complete explanation to the error codes. This is a service center job.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

SOURCE: problem with sony dsc-w30 cyber shot flash

I found this solution in Yahoo Answers. go into the Setup Menu and find "Initialize". Select Initialize to reset the camera adjustments. Then try using the camera again.

SOURCE: Error code E:62:20 meaning

This appears to be a problem with a connector inside the camera. Try:

  • Take the memory card out, clean the bay and the memory card with compressed air
  • Take the battery out, clean it and the battery compartment with compressed air.
  • Some users report that you can 'fix' the problem by tapping it gently on the battery compartment, so that may be worth trying as well.
If these things don't work, it will have to taken to a service technician - it's quite expensive to repair, sadly.

Good luck!

Ihave a sony flash DSCHVL-F32X whch I use on my Sony DSC-828. This has never given trouble but it now seems to refuse to connect to the camera

Try resetting the camera?

Other items you might have missed:

Fresh batteries in the flash..inserted the right way.
Is the flash indicating an error code? if so it could be bad connection between clash and camera.. Is external flash selected in the menu?

It's a flash error. Could be flash fuse or flash board. If you have a multimeter and you're ready to open it, contact me at toms.safranovs@gmail.com or contact your local Sony service center.
I work in a Sony service center.

Sony cyber-shot dsc-w50 problem

When “FLASH error” (Self-diagnosis Code E : 91 : ** ) occurs, to prevent any abnormal situation caused by high voltage, setting of the
flash is changed automatically to disabling charge and flash setting.
After fixing, this setting needs to be deactivated. Flash error code can be initialized by the operations on the Setup screen.
Method for Initializing the Flash Error Code
Initializes the setting to the default setting.
1 Select [OK] with v on the control button, then press z.
The message “Initialize all settings Ready?” appears.
2 Select [OK] with v, then press z.
The settings are reset to the default setting.
• Make sure that the power is not disconnected during resetting.
