Question about HP Officejet J5780 All-In-One InkJet Printer
My printer that is about 5 months old and rarely used now seems to be giving me problems, I used this same printer at my last job for 3 straight years and never had a single issue, weird. Anyway, problem is that it now does 1 of 2 things when I print documents now, it either starts printing great and then it looks almost like someone pulls on the paper while it is coming out and smudges the ink but no one touches anything while printing or it starts printing out fine then it like skips a little on the page then continues, leaving a line (a white line-well clear)down the page. Does anyone understand what I am talking about? It is so frusterating because I print pictures a lot and really would like to fix this so that next time I try and print a picture I don't wast a ton of ink. PLEASE HELP!!!
Most likely you have a flat spot on the roller.
that is exactly what is going to happen, when the paper hits the flat spot or a low spot. the paper stops and skips. them the print is coming out smeared.
you can get a repair kit or replacement roller from HP.
