Success....Error 11 on Electrolux dishwasher?
I have an Electrolux EWDW 6505 which in the start of a wash cycle would start beeping and Error code 11 would display.
The problem: Drain Valve (Small copper lever switch inside)
Solution 1.
1. Kill breaker to dish washer.
2. Pull dish washer out from under counter. (If you open door, usually held in by 2 screws above door that are screwed in under counter top.
3. Tip washer onto its back side.
4. Remove ss front plate below door(Held in with 2 screws).
5. Remove white cover plate from bottom of dish washer (held in by 3 Phillips screws)(TO REMOVE - Pull from bottom front of dish washer then slide towards back of dishwasher).
If the washer is laying on its back, the drain valve is located at the bottom left side of the machine (Closest to the floor).
6. REMOVE THE DRAIN VALVE -

A. Remove the electrical connection to the Drain Valve by pulling
it out from plug like harness socket.

B. There are two star (T-20) head screws holding the drain valve
on. Remove them from the bottom and pull the pump down
and away from the Dishwasher to remove it.

C. There are two hoses connected to the drain valve.
One is held on by a metal screw down clamp fastener.
(just turn the screw counter clockwise till lose then slide hose
off.)
The other is held on by a spring band type fastener.
(Just compress the ends together with pliers and slide off.
7. SEPARATE THE DRAIN VALVE-
If you look at the valve, the top is white and the bottom is
black. There are white tab like structures extending over the
black part of the unit. This is where you want to separate the
unit very carefully. If you bend them too much they will
snap off or crack.
You want to easily and Gently lift and
wiggle them away from the black hook like stops. The unit will
then begin to separate. BE CAREFUL, THERE ARE 3
PIECES TO THIS HOUSING.

A. Remove the white part and set it aside.
B. Look at the black side under the housing. Here is where
you will find the PROBLEM
. There is a blue lever that sits in a stem under a copper arm. When the DRAIN VALVE rotates in normal operation it presses on the blue lever causing it to press on the copper arm, which makes contact with the other copper side and closes the circuit. As the Drain valve continues to rotate, it releases the blue lever WHICH SHOULD SPRING BACK AND OPEN THE CIRCUIT AGAIN.
NOTE: (Try not to separate the two black pieces while doing this or you will see the gears maybe pop out and two copper springs and motor. NOT A BIG DEAL IF IT HAPPENS. the 3 gears will fit together on their stems, the springs both slide one into each hole, the botor goes on top and the two arms come in contact with the springs)
C. THE FIX - LOOK at the blue lever. Right above it you will see a copper arm. Touch the Right side of the arm (where it is connected) with your finger and pull it down in the direction of the blue lever (ever so slightly just to give it its springiness back. so now if you emulate pushing up on the blue lever and release it, the copper arm should make contact with the other copper side, then, spring back on its own. (IT IS NOT FIXED UNTIL IT SPRINGS BACK ON ITS OWN) so adjust the copper arm accordingly.

REVERSE steps above to reassemble the washer.

GOOD LUCK!

Hello - Typically error code E11 indications that there is an issue with the drain valve, possibly the main control board is timing out before receiving status of drain valve. I strongly recommend contacting the technician that repaired your unit previously to check the wiring between the main control board and drain valve. Some certified technicians warranty their labor and part for 30 days.

SOURCE: F2 error code on my Kenmore Elite HE3 washer

Based upon your description, the drain pump has either failed or the pump filter has become clogged.
To check the pump, remove the bottom access panel. There you will find access to the pump clean-out.(Large,white screw cap) BE READY TO CATCH LOTS OF WATER. CAREFULLY AND S_L_O_W_L_Y unscrew the pump clean-out, catching and discarding the water. When the water flow finally stops, completely remove the clean-out filter. Inspect the clean-out filter, the drain hose from the tub as well as inside the pump impeller for any additional debris.

If you need further assistance, let me know

SOURCE: F2 error code on my Kenmore Elite HE3 washer

Depending on how fritzed your drain pump is this may or may not work. I've been using HE detergent because it is supposed to cause fewer suds. However, apparently is causing more suds than needed. I need to use only a couple tablespoons? If your clothes are not dirty enough for the soap to grab onto then extra suds are the result. The repair guy said we had an excessive amount of suds in the system and this affects the sensor and causes the drain pump to run and run and run until it shuts off from overheating. This is why we get the F2 and/or suds error code. He said once a month run the machine on the hottest water cycle with a cup of bleach (no clothes). This will clear out any suds build-up and is cheaper than Afresh which works, too, (but smells cleaner than bleach). After sitting for a day our pump started working again (yay!) It also stopped making the horrible loud sound. So glad I do not have to replace the pump!! yet...(knock on wood!).

SOURCE: check hose error on electrolux wave touch washing machine

I'm sure nojallo1 has already fixed his but I just ran into the same problem and didn't find anything in my searches for a solution. The problem I had was the test cycle wasn't long enough to get hot water through my water lines so it could verify the hot and cold hoses were in the proper places. Solution: Turn the hot water on in all the sinks in your house until they have hot water running through them. This will prime your hot water line so it is full of hot water instead of cold water. Then run the install cycle again and it should be fine.

SOURCE: Bosch Error Code 13 Washer won't drain

First, unplug your washer. After that find the little round plate below your drum opening on the exterior of the washer. It should have a small hole in it. Use something to gently push trough this hole and twist the cover off, Inside there you will find the drain access. Be careful, if there is water in your drum this will make a mess when you unscrew the drain access. Take the usual precautions and unscrew the drain access slowly until it is off. Remove any obstructions and replace access door and cover. Clean up any mess and plug back in your washer and try again. takes about thirty minutes to an hour depending on how much water is in the drum.

Hello there and thank you for choosing fixya
  • The error code of "IE" signifies a water inlet error. This means that your machine is not filling to the proper water level, and may be fixed by ensuring that machine's water supply is properly connected and turned on.
  • If every thing there checks out fine then the inlet valve on the machine is faulty and needs to be replaced ...
  • drain error will result in an error code of "OE." This means that your washer is not properly draining. Ensure that your drain hose is free of kinks and clean. Your filter also must be clean
An error code of "FE" represents an overflow error. This means that the water level is too high, and the machine will start draining itself automatically.
An error code of "E1" represents a leakage error. This means there is a leak in one of your hose connections.

I have an error 04 showing on my dishwasher, and the cycle will not run. Please help!

dryer damper problem. there is another post that will help from electrolux personnel.
Thank you in advance for allowing Electrolux to assist you in
this matter.

I apologize for the inconvenience and concerns this dishwasher unit has been causing you. Unfortunately the error "E04" code does indicate an issue with the drying damper. Now this is something that a technician would have to assess because wiring is needed to be checked.

Check wiring between Main Control Board and upper fan. If correct, replace upper fan.

If your unit is brand new it is covered under warranty and you can choose to contact your dealer for a repair technician, or visit www.electroluxappliances.com/servicelocator to find a listing in your area.

Error Code F-01

Hi, After about year and half Whirlpool duet sport gave F01 error code. The technician manual is located under the lower front panel. There are three possible reasons for F0: 1) EEPROM ERROOR. Unplug a washer for two minutes. Try running it again. (Did not work for me). 2) MAIN RELAYS ERROR. The tech manual suggests replacing CCU. The following is what I did and it fixed the problem, however. Unplug the washer. Remove the top cover by removing the three screws on the back. The CCU unit is in the right bottom corner if standing in front of the washer – it has a lot of wiring. Plug in the unit. While listening to the CCU start any washing cycle. After pressing START you should hear the relay to click. If it clicks twice, within a less than a second, it has a problem. Unplug the washer. Without disconnecting any wires remove the CCU cage from the washer wall. Stand now on the right hand side of the washer in such way that the CCU cage is under your left hand. Pull the right upper corner of the CCU plastic cage (it has a tab) away from you, slide the cage to the right by about an inch, and pull the entire cage away from you. Now knock on the back side of the cage 4-5 times with a bit of force (watch “Armageddon” movie for more instructions on it). Install the CCU cage back. Plug in the unit. Try some washing cycle again. If it did not help, repeat the procedure. If it did not work again, see the following. 3) PUMP DRIVE ERROR. The tech manual suggests replacing CCU.

Error code h-f

Krysil,

I have the service technician's guide to the error codes here. The code you're getting is F/H. The Explanation of this error code is "No Water Detected Entering Machine or Pressure Switch Trip Not Detected."

"If after 30 seconds, the control does not detect water entering machine, the valves will be turned off and the error code will be displayed. OR If the control has turned the water valves on and after 8 minutes the flow sensor has detected 10.5 gallons of water passing through it, but has not detected the pressure switch trip, the valves will be turned off and the error code will flash."

"Possible Causes / Procedure
  • If there is no water in the unit:
    - Make sure that both valves at the water source are turned on all the way.
    - Check for plugged or kinked inlet hoses or plugged screens in the inlet valves.
    - Verify inlet valve operation.
  • If there IS water in the unit:
    - verify drain pump operation
    - verify that the pressure switch hose is in good condition and properly connected to tub and pressure switch.
  1. Verify that there is not a siphon problem.
  2. Unplug the washer or disconnect power.
  3. Verify wire harness connections to inlet valves, pressure switch, drain pump, flow meter, and Central Control Unit (CCU)
  4. Check all hoses for possible leaks.
  5. Plug in washer or reconnect power.
  6. Verify pressure switch operation.
  7. Verify flow meter operation by blowing air through the part and measuring the resistance.
  8. Verify CCU operation by running a Diagnostic test or any cycle.
Whew! Well, that's what the service tech manual said. Hope that helps! By the way, I found this service tech manual behind the lower front panel of my washer, attached to the right side of the frame. Yours might be in there too!
