I need instructions to Thread a White Super Lock 534 Serger

I am starting to teach a clothing class next week. The class has several sergers/overlock machines. I don't even know the brand of the 5 spool ones. Is there any pictures /videos anything to show me how to thread the machines.

Yeah,it is complex to explain the qustion. You know, the different modesl have the different ways and order to do the job.I can't tell you answer before I know the serger that you use..You can actually thread your serger all the way through the needles, if you tie the two needle threads as square knots and very slowly sew and gently pulling the serged thread until all the colors have changed to your new color. Once in a while the needle threads will break if the knot is not tight enough or you are trying to sew too quickly.

If you get the brands and model numbers of the machine to be used in the class, you can go on line and just search each serger for their threading picture or email any site that sells manuals, tell them your needs and they usually will send you a picture. Or just tell the ladies to bring their books and if it's one you don't know, tell them to take out their books and you can show and highlight the differences for them. They don't know you didn't always know this!

Your machine isn't threaded properly. Check to make sure #1, you have it threaded right and #2 the thread on all 4 spools is in between the tension dials. Good Luck and Hope this helps.

I have a white speedy lock serger model 7340. I completely pulled all threads out and now trying to re-thread new thread. I have tried around 15 times. It will not loop. Threads don't interlock at all

Be sure that you are threading each thread in the correct order. The manual should have those instructions.

ALWAYS RAISE the presser foot when threading the machine!!!! For most machines, the upper looper is threaded first, the lower looper second (the lower looper thread finishes by draping OVER the top of the upper looper and then pulled toward the back of the machine), then thread the needles. Give each thread an extra little tug when threading the tension disk to make sure it is seated completely.

Even if you are unable to locate a tutorial for your particular machine, most models from the same era will thread the same.

Don't be surprised if it doesn't work the first, second, or even the third try. It took me most of a day to get mine threaded correctly the first time!!! Patience!

Help plse, after threading it dont make the overlocking stitches. New machine, help with right way to thread machine and the smaller detail of threading.

Your machine is either not threaded correctly, or the individual threads have not been threaded in order. Be sure to ALWAYS RAISE the presser foot when threading the machine. You must follow the instructions exactly or the machine will most likely never work properly. Can you at least get a training class on your machine? A class is indispensable, especially when it comes to using a serger.

Even if it is not the same model, these instructions may be helpful.

Pushing material away, but still overlocking

It is difficult to tell what exactly is happening with your serger.

First thing--make sure you RAISE the presser foot BEFORE you thread any of the threads. This releases the tension disks so the threads will seat properly. You may need to remove all the threads and rethread from the beginning, making sure you thread each in the proper order. Start out with the thread tensions set at the ideal setting--usually the halfway point between the high & low numbers. From there, you will adjust them to even up the thread tensions.

Are you actually trimming off some of the fabric as it is stitching? If so, you might try increasing the cutting width (moves the cutting edge further toward the right) so that there is more fabric caught within the looper threads. It also appears that the looper tensions may be too loose. Try tightening the upper and lower looper tensions so less of the thread loops don't fall off the fabric's raw edge.

I need help in good tension for rolled hem in empisal 606D overlocker

Your owner's manual should have instructions for rolled hem settings. My Bernina manual has a the following settings:
Medium weight fabric
80/12 Universal needle
3 cones serger thread
Upper looper 3-5
Lower looper 7-9
Left needle (no thread)
Right needle 3-5
Stitch length 1-1.5
Cutting width 2-3
Differential feed N

Can use woolly thread in the upper looper, but the tension may need to be loosened since the woolly nylon thread will stretch.

I have a new home janome model number 534 how do I

The Janome 534 that I know is an overlocker (or serger). If this is so, then when you open the front flap / door there should be a diagram showing the thread path. It is important though to first thread the inner (upper) looper, then secondly the outer (lower) looper, thirdly the inner (right) needle, and lastly the outer (left) needle.

Treading my serger

When you thread the serger, your suppose to start threading the 3rd spool (left to right) first, then the 4th spool, then thread the 2nd spool which ends up in the second needle (left to right), There is a lever or bottom looper that the thread must go through before placing thread through the 2nd needle. Finally, the last spool to thread is the 1st spool (left to right). Follow the threading pattern and once you put the thread through the two loops that look like springs, turn the wheel at the right toward you until you can see like a lever with a ****, thread that **** from the back then put the thread through the machine to the right. Turn the knob to toward you again until the upper looper is showing, then you have the put your thread through the hole in that looper then through the first needle. You should now have 4 thread toward the back of your machine which you need to place under the presser foot and to the left side of the machine. There is also a VHS video that goes with the machine to help explain how to thread your serger. Also be sure that each spool of thread is in the tension of the upper colored tension wheels. If it is not, then your stitiches will be loose. Good luck and I hope this helps. I had to watch the video several times before I got it. If you don't have the video, try ebay for and perhaps you can obtain one. The video is Speedylock 1600, instructional video, USA Part #136000016, Perhaps you can contact White and see if they have one you could purchase.
Good Luck Serging!!!!
