- I have a used D865GBF / D865PERC Intel motherboard installed on my computer. I don't have AGP video card installed. After installation, cpu is running. But no picture on monitor. I heared 6 beeps during BIOS booting. I found from mb menual that 6 beeps indicate memory failured. I use a pair of 256 mb DDR 184, 533 and I strictly followed mb menual to installed memories on mb.
I don't know why no video on mb.
My questions:
1. Do I have to use a AGP video card instead mb video card?
- Answer to question 1 : it would not harm the motherboard to try and add a compatible video card, but the monitor should come up with something. Is the screen blank from get go or does it go blank after a certain time?
Answer to question2: Ram should not have that much effect on start up of computer Ram is Main used to speed up your PC.
I have a question ? isn't D865GBF / D865PERC a sound card?

HP Compaq dc7800, Vista business, IE8, after about 20 internet browing, it stucks, IE doesn't work anymore. Other functions are fine. After restarting everything is fine, but the problem can happen again. Have Avast, AVG, Spybot, Ad-Aware, Spywareblaster installed and freqently updated and scanned. Use Windows firewall and/or Zonealarm
