Can your power cord be bad on a panasonic plasma tv to cause it to turn off and not start again and blow a fuse on pb

The main power regulator board will have some shorted component/s on it. Normally, these boards to plasma TVs are irreparable. Card base replacement should be done.

Why does the fuse on my th-50px80u blow every time I plug it into the protected power strip? This has happened 3 times, connected to different outlets.Could there be additional components also blown?

You have a serious short in the power supply. If the fuse is blackened you are in big trouble. This may require a new power supply. The current power supply is not rebuild able. In most cases, when the fuse is bad as per say blackened, do replace with another fuse as more damage may occur. If the fuse is clean and opened, many times replacing the fuse will repair a TV. Please see a TV tech to see if the unit is feasible for repair. Thanks for asking and show all hands of support!

I have a panasonic TH-C42HD18. Last night a fuse in my fuse box flipped so I lost power to the tv. I reset the fuse (in the fuse box) but now My tv will not turn on. Everything else plugged in to that...

If you have no power light on TV ,then you must have a blowed Fuse on the power supply board.
Check Fuse and check board for Bad Capacitors they will be vented or swollen on Top.

Sat went out lost power. can not get tv to turn on. checked outlet (fine) sat powered up. no tv power.

When this happened it probably took out Q406 a switching field effect transistor on the power supply board along with F401 an 8 amp Slow Blow fuse. The FET will have to be soldered in if it is bad. If the fuse is blackened, it is almost certain that the FET is shorted as well.

Panasonic plasma hdtv will not power on--no blinking LED, simply no LED. Other objects plugged into same surge protector are fine; no evidence or suggestion of a power surge.

The power supply board itself maybe the main problem inside the TV. Or, it maybe something simple like a blown fuse. Replacement fuses can be found at Radio Shack or some other electronic supply store.
If it turns out the TV keeps blowing fuses, the main power supply may need to be replaced. You can find replacements at a good price at Shopjimmy.com

Panasonic TH-42PX600U plasma TV. No power at all. Where is the fuse (if any)?

I'm having the exact same problem. My Panasonic 42 inch TH-42PX60U just turned off while I was watching TV. I removed the fuses (both were blown) and replaced them and am now getting the red light that blinks ten times.

What should I do now???

Thanks!

Tv will not turn on

This set has a common problem with th main fuse opening for no other apparent reason... One of the few exceptions to my corner-stone statement that a fuse is never the cause only a symptom..
Don't replace it though with the same type grade, use a 6.3a slo-blow gma type - available at Radio Shack... Try that and if everything works you're back in business.. If not we nee to find a cause...
