Which game you are trying to load? What is your configuration of your pc? Are you running any separate firewall or spyware? Did the game downloaded from internet? Did the game needs internet connection while playing? Revert to me to fix the issue at the earliest.

Try to run an antivirus to your computer and launch the game. If it still doesn't work try to reinstall the game, because it would be possible that some of the software associated to game may have been corrupted.

My acer z5600 crashes with multicoloured screen when playing games

Ya it sounds like your video Card is dying, though you can check with different RAM and try some normal games which don't need high Graphic. You have PCI Graphic card fitted on it then try removing and playing the game, then this way you can know what is the fault.

My stratego game will not play on window 7 was wondering if there is a patch for it?

Hi Tony,
Have you tried to run the game using Windows compatibility mode?
You can do this by right-clicking on the game's launch icon and selecting "Troubleshoot compatibility" from the drop-down menu.
Select the operating system from the list which worked with your game.
Windows 7 will apply settings which replicate the version of Windows you choose from the list.
Best wishes,

I have a game that wont install on my computer at all...nothing pops up like it should.

Sometimes the drives don't automatically recognize cd's (assuming your using CD). Usually remembers last command which can vary from setup.exe, autorun etc. so if a new CD is inserted with diff. program launch, it can go dumb. You can go to "My computer" and double click on your CD drive (with the game cd inserted) and look for setup.exe or install.exe or autorun. Double-click on one of those files to launch the installer.

OS will not initialize, cd/dvd-rom not accessible in Dos.

I would re-format the hard drive. Then install your main OS such as XP or 98. ( Best to do XP first). Then during installation you can set up your partitions or use Partition Magic.

Then you will have other partions to load other operationg systems. One OS in each different partition.

Then use Acronis Disc Director. On startup Acronis loads a screen and lets you choose what OS you want to use. Just click the icon and away you go.

I have xp, windows 98, and Dos 6.0 on my system in three different partitions.

Good luck

When i try to access the yahoo online pool game i get as far as joinning the table and then i get an alert saying to turn off my pop up blocker and the damn things off

To change Pop-up Blocker settings
1. Open Internet Explorer.
2. On the Tools menu, point to Pop-up Blocker, and then click Pop-up Blocker Settings.

=Internet Explorer Tools menu=

If you want to see pop-up windows from a specific Web site, type the address (or URL) of the site in the Address of Web site to allow box, and then click Add.

=Pop-up Blocker Settings window=

Tip: To temporarily allow a site to display pop-ups, click the Information Bar when it notifies you that a pop-up has been blocked. Then click Temporarily Allow Pop-ups.

To block pop-ups even if they are launched when you click a link or button on a Web site
1. Open Internet Explorer.
2. On the Tools menu, point to Pop-up Blocker, and then click Pop-up Blocker Settings.
3. Select the High setting in the box near the bottom of the dialog box.

Note: If you want to see pop-ups that are blocked when you have this setting turned on, hold down the CTRL key while the window opens.

*Your vote is much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Best regards

Hi I'm having a problem with the pogo games on my computor. Everything comes in but up to where it says game loading and it stays like that for quite awhile,1/2 hr or so, in other words the game itself...

It's solitaire, play it alone with a pack of cards rather than put out the power company for that kind of drek!

Moreover, your OS is ancient and evil and 6/11ths of the problem. Get a modern OS and firewall and antivirus for a person of your abilities and interests, and you can connect to the internet, load a current version of the Flash player plugin, and you're fixed up much better.

I just bought Soldier of Fortune Payback for my PC and my operating system is Windows Vista. When I tried to install it on my computer, I got an error message saying that installation was canceled due to...

Hi Kristi
Vista can be tricky with some installations even if the game says it's compatible. The first thing I would try is running the installation with escalated privelege. To do this follow these instructions...

1. When you insert the installation CD, an autorun screen will most likely pop up inviting you to install the game. Cancel this.

2. Go to my computer and right click on the drive that contains the installation CD. Choose 'explore'

3. A file list will appear listing the contents of the CD. Scroll through the list and locate the file that launches the installer. This may be called setup.exe or install.exe or something like that.

4. Right-click on the file and choose "run as administrator".

5. The installer should launch and hopefully the game will install OK.

If this does not work - you can also try updating your graphics card drivers. First - identify what type of graphics card you have. (right click the desktop - click on personalize - click on display settings (I think) - and note the name of the adapter. It will likely be either ATI Radeon or NVIdia GeForce with a number after it. Let me know what it is and I will get you the web address for your update.

Let me know how it goes.

Ok.. I thought you said its a new Pc and the problem with boot up usually indicates a troublesome HDD. I would suggest that you utilize the warranty while you still have it..
