SOURCE: Bose lifestyle 28 no power

There's no easy way to put this. This media center will need a repair. If you know the outlet works, and the power supply works. It couldn't be anything that's easily fixable. Make sure you don't have a dual-voltage power supply (red switch for 120v/230-240v). If so, change to 120v for us power. Otherwise this is pretty straight forward. You can call bose for a repair- 800-367-4008. $165 + tax flat rate. New 1 year warranty.

I need to change my powerstand for my Bose L1 model 2 system from 110v to 220V. Do you know where I could find specs on which transformer is in there now(110), and where I could buy a new one(220)?

You don't need to do that. Just get a step-down transformer. It will change your current mains supply to that of the unit. You will find them on Amazon. This way you will avoid tampering with original device. Especially if it is still covered by warranty.

What do i have to do to plug my 110 air conditioner into where my 220 window unit

You need a step down transformer, to convert 220V to 110V. You can't just plug the 110V A/C unit in directly unless it is clearly marked as being suitable for multi-voltage supply (110V - 220V input).

Such a transformer has to be of sufficient capacity to handle the current, or wattage, that will be required. The Frigidaire unit in your question is a 3.5 kW cooling capacity, so the transformer would need to be about the same, ie for a 10A supply at least. They are quite big boxes, about $120.

You would put this in the roof or in a cupboard.

No. To work with 220V~240v; the device need a step down transformer to be connected in between line and device. The transformer [voltage converter] should be used, otherwise; the unit will get damaged. The step down transformer adaptors can be bought locally.

110v to 220v

If your Panasonic phone device runs on 110v then to connect it to 220/240v mains supply you need to purchasr a step down transformer that converts 240v to 110v.
Make sure the step down transformer has a wattage equal to or greater than the rating stated on the Panasonic phone device.

I just bought a computer speaker but it's 110v and my computer is 220v. can i plug the speaker to the computer without damaging the speakers?

Hi ,
If it says it needs a AC 110V connection , you will fry at least the sub . Don't do it ! Connect the device to an AC 220 / 110 V transformer you can find on the net or in all specialized retail shops .
Best regards

Converter needed

If your unit is from the USA, 120 volt/ 300 watts.
EU is 220-240V / 300 Watts. Best choice is to go to Bose service center in EU and have your transformer inside your box replaced with 220-240V for EU operation. That way you don't have to worry about a converter. If not, 2nd choice is buy a step-down transformer 220-240V input and 120 Volt output that can handle 300Watts.

Good Luck.
