the sim card is located behind the battery, the contacts could be dirty from being in your pocket, your service is over with your current cell bill, or you have to talk with your current service provider and they can offer you a new sim card or try to reconnect you.
The same thing happedned to my one.
I switched the phone off then on and it worked.
If it still doesn't work it is probably not the right simcard.
Also the dude at the shop when i bought it put the sim in 4 me. Their was a sim in the box for the mobile.
When i got my KU990 i got a new sim with it but i had to ring up my network provider and they gave me instructions to enable it. Basically they have to send a signal to your new sim so you put the phone on and the sim in then they tell you not to play with the phone for an hour or so while this is happening. It also makes your old sim card un-usable other wise you would have 2 sims with the same number.
