If this is the remote that belongs to your Panasonic unit, it can't be reprogrammed, BUT you can try removing the batteries then reinstalling them and trying to get a response. The problem may be in the unit rather than the remote.

Grinding remote control TP2 not working

light at the remote control flashes; does not mean it works properly. You have to check whether it emits infrared rays out from its front; which activates the TV. The indicator light blinks; means the remote control is working, and the the batteries are good. That's all. The infrared light that emits from its front side [infrared LED] is not visible to human eye. It can be detected by an electronic camera. If infrared ray emitting LED is faulty, the TV won't respond to remote control.
Check the remote control for its infrared emission. Check it by pressing all the keys. You can detect the presence of infra-red emission from the remote control, using a cell-phone camera. Cannot use remote control to switch on TV, but I can manual switch the TV. Guess the receiver board has problem.

Hello
If front panel contols are working and set does not works with its remote control, first check the remote control for its infrared emission. You can check it with the help of a cellphone set to camera option. Eventhough, human eye cannot detect the infrared rays, electronic cameras can. Just hold the remote control at about a feet away from the cellphone camera lens, and press each button on it. if there is any infrared radiation comes out of it, the cellphone camera will sense it, and you can get an image of it the screen. If it is there, still the TV does not respond to it, the infrared sensor inside the circuit board of your tV is faulty, and should be replaced with same typw and number. OK.

Does not work

Hello
Check its battery contacts first. In remote controls, if battery contacts get rusted or dusty, proper battery connection will not occur. If battery contacts are good, check its infrared emission. You can check it with the help of a cellphone with camera option. Put the cellphone to camera mode, and place the remote control just one feet away from its lens, and push each button on the remote control. Eventhough human eye cannot detect infrared rays, electronic cameras can. If there is infrared rays emitting, you can see its image on the cellphone screen. If not, be sure that the remote contro is faulty. If there is infrared image, and still the device you wants to control does not respond; infrared sensor inside your device is faulty, and should be replaced. OK.

Remote will not work. I have chged the batteries and made sure they were in correctly

Hello
Check the remote contro for its infrared emission. You can check it with a cellphone with camera option. Put the cellphone to camera mode, and place the remotes' front end towards its lens, at about one feet away from it, and press each button on the remote control. If there is infrared emission from it, you can see its image on cellphone camera screen. If not check the remote control. Check the battery polarity. If it is alright, you have to open it to see whether there is any loose soldering points developed or not.
If ther is infrared emission from the remote, and still the TV doesn't respond to it, surely the infrared sensor inside the TV is faulty, and should be replaced with same type and number. OK.

TV doesn't respond to the remote control...can't change channels

You have to find out if the remote is sending out the infrared signal to the TV remote receiver or not, you can test that by pointing the remote at the digital camera, you should see flashing light on the camera screen when any one of the remote button is pushed (digital camera can detect infrared light). If get the flashing light then the problem is in the TV remote sensor.
