No Internet can I connect to my neighbours so I can watch Netflix on my play station

Hello Friends,
First of all you are self connect to internet, there are two options you are connect internet.
1> Wi-fi through you connect and Lan cable. connection before you configure Internet IP address, DNS to you laptop, and open wi-fi option. and sec option is cat5 and cat 6 wire through connect.
But all thing available you have like RJ 45 connector, Lan tested, Lan cable, cutter, etc.
My suggestion you contact networking engineer because have all network thing available.

Network cable connection not recognized

Make sure the LAN driver is installed and working.
The LAN cable maybe faulty, try another one.
If the LAN cable is a red one then it most likely a crossover LAN cable. This cable is used to connect two computers together without a LAN hub or router.

Computer running slow stuff keeps popping up

Your pc is infected. Go to -  http://www.avast.com/  - (antivirus) and -  http://www.safer-networking.org/en/download/index.html  - (antispyware) and Download (as in Save, not Run) the installers. Disconnect your pc from the internet (unplug the lan cable, shutdown the wireless or unplug the modem), close all your present (and clearly useless) security software and uninstall them,  launch the installers that you downloaded (Avast first - during install you will be offered the option to perform a boot scan - take it) and follow the instructions. Once the installs are over connect your pc to the internet and reboot once more. You will have to manually update Spybot (the link is on its main windows) before launching a full scan..

I'm trying to connect my Compaq computer to my Dell computer and I've ben told that the "Lan adapter" is not working. Can you help me?

Hello

I will give you a step by step guide to configure a lan connection.
If this does not work, there is only 2 other things which could be wrong.
Either your adapter has broken, or you need to install the drivers for the adapter. If you send me more details, i could give you a link for the specific drivers you request.

1. Plug the lan cable into both computers.
2. Assign an ip to both computer, where the one should be for
example(192.168.1.1) and the other one(192.168.1.2).
Just the last didget should change to vary from each other.
3. The subnet mask for both computers are usually
255.255.255.0.
4. Turn Firewall off on both computers, some anti viruses also
have a separate firewall, so be sure to turn that off too.
5. Restart both computers and the lan should work.

Ps, if you did all the above mentioned steps already, try using a different cable, for example, if you were using a crossed cable, use a straight cable now,. This once happened with me.

I really hope this can help you, if not, feel free to email me for extra assistance at andreadonaggilock@gmail.com.

XP Keeps rebooting with LAN Cable connected

Have you tried going into the bios setup before windows loads up? You may have a setting to choose startup on lan. Just turn that off and hit F10 and enter.
To enter the bios setup keep pressing delete after truning on the computer until the bios screen appears. Don`t change anything unless you know what you are doing.

Need to hookup router for laptop to access inter-net. I already have a Belkin Wireless G Router -2.4hz-802.11g. It needs to be re-configured after being shutdown.

connect your pc to router using a lan (RJ45 cable), then open up internet explorer and type 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.2.1 in the web address, you can then enter the default password and username and then set up your router
