we were sitting watching tv an i went to change the channel an now the reomte willl not do anything , i changed the batterys an still it will not do anything

After replacing battery the light remains on and nothing will happen

I have a Toshiba television, and a RCA remote. I cannot get it to work,I think I need a code, I can't find the instruction manuel, please help!

Remote controls does not use laser diode. the IR diodes in remote control normally do not die as the voltage from the battery is too low (3.= volts)

Your remote control is programmable, the code must have been erased what the battery wa replaced.

You must again enter the code for the TV model that you are using. If you do not have the manual, its a problem.

for some reason unknown, the laser or infrared diode has died
