SOURCE: How do I adjust the oiler on a ms271 stihl chainsaw saw

Alot of chainsaws have a dial most of the time on the bottom of the saw. Using a flat head will do the job... there should be a little indented drawing of a chain and oil drop where the dial is

It seems that YES a 56mm aftermarket cylinder is available for the Stihl 064. Looking at the kit you need to just replace Cylinder, Piston and rings, bearing bush and clips. Worth also replacing the base gasket too.

Your oiler is probably defective, or perhaps it just needs the adjusting screw to be turned in a little to restrict some of the flow.

Cannot find oil regulator on stihl 024

There is no oil "regulator" only an oiler with a screw that adjusts the flow, that is found below the saw, and is fit for a slotted screwdriver.

Dont no how to ajust the ioler for the bar oil uses a tank of oil to a half tank of fule burned

what brand saw? Stihl saws are made to run Stihl oil. If you are runnin other oil, the viscosity wont be the same as the pump is designed for, and the oiler may pump more then it should. The oil adjustment screw should be a single flat head set screw on the underside of your saw near the sprocket. Alot of saws are not equipped with an adjustable oiler. Professional saws and larger displacement saws will have the feature.

Too much oil is being delivered on the chain, how do I adjust the oiler on my Stihl 038av super?

This is Stihl's manual showing the proper adjustment for the oiler. Flip the saw on its side, chain and bar side up, and look for a flat head screw.

Clockwise rotation on any saw is more oil, and counterclockwise will be less oil.

Hello, my stihl 017 chainsaw is over oiling the bar, is there any adjustment I can perform, thanks, Gareth.

No oiler adjustment. Sorry

Are you using bar oil or something lighter? Stop by your local Stihl dealer (leave your saw in the car), give him a latte, and chat. He might have an idea or 2. He will not be chatty on any weekend or if there is a perspective sale in the store, HTH

How to adjust chain bar oiler

The Stihl 026 PRO does have an adjustable oiler and it is located on the bottom of the saw just below the clutch drum.
Stihl also builds an 026 "Standard" without the adjustable oiler, however, the hole location for adjustment is still there.

The 026 PRO will also have a decompression valve on top of the saw to make the rope easier to pull during startup. If you have the DECO valve you should also have the adjustable oiler. Hope this helps.
